About the job
We know that it can be a bit of a handful to write an application - so we do it a little differently. Are you a nurse with an interest in children and young people? Then call and book your job interview with us.
If you are curious about the position, you can skip the application and call us directly to book a job interview.
Yes, you read that right - you do not need to send an application to come to a job interview with us before you have the job.
Do you recognize yourself in the values below? Then do not hesitate to call Chief Nurse Channie Brorly at tel. 61 61 56 39, on weekdays between 08.00-16.00
For the job interview you will have the opportunity to tell about yourself, your professionalism and what you can contribute with. We will of course tell you more about the job, the department and everyday life with us.
Do you want to be the nurse who creates calm, hope and development for children and young people when life is difficult? In the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry South Denmark’s 24/7 unit in Aabenraa, we meet children and young people with symptoms or diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, OCD, psychoses, mania, autism spectrum disorders and severe emotional crises.
When patients are admitted to our ward, they are admitted for either short-term admission, an observation admission, or as part of a diagnostic and treatment pathway in collaboration with the outpatient clinics.
It requires high professional skills. But first and foremost it requires presence, curiosity and the ability to build relationships.
With us you become part of a community. We believe that the best solutions are created together. Therefore we prioritise a work environment where we help each other, share our knowledge and always have the opportunity for sparring.
You will become part of a multidisciplinary team with nurses, social and health care assistants, pedagogues, doctors, psychologists, social workers and therapists who work closely together to create the best pathways for patients and their families.
We want you to succeed. When you start with us, you will receive a thorough introduction so you get to know the department, the patient group and your colleagues well.
We prioritise ongoing professional development through teaching, supervision, reflection and competency development. If you have particular interests or wishes to specialise, we would like to help develop them.
We believe that skilled employees become even more skilled when they experience trust, influence and the opportunity to shape development.
Who are you?
- You are a trained nurse with Danish authorization – perhaps with experience from psychiatry, perhaps from another specialty.
- You meet people with presence and recognition.
- You thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration.
- You want to develop yourself professionally.
- You contribute positively to the community.
- You dare to be yourself.
With us you get, among other things
- a strong collegial community where we take care of each other
- a workplace with high professionalism and extensive psychiatric specialist knowledge
- thorough introduction and close sparring – including a mentorship scheme
- supervision and ongoing competency development
- the opportunity to influence the development of the ward
- flexible shift planning with two-team operation, and weekend work every 2nd or 3rd weekend in an 8-hour shift
- a focus on balance between work life and private life
- a daily life where humor, presence, recognition and care are also part of the culture
A greeting from the Chief Nurse "I believe that the best pathways for the ward’s children and young people begin with employees who thrive. Therefore it is important to me that you experience a working life with high professionalism, good colleagues and room to be human."
Of course we must be able to solve the complex tasks together – but we must also be able to go home with peace of mind and energy for those who wait for us at home. A good working life is not about running the fastest or staying the longest. It is about being part of a community where we help each other, develop together and create the best framework for both patients and employees.
I hope you will experience our ward as a place where you are met with trust, given the opportunity to use your strengths and feel that your well-being is as important as your professional competence. For when we take good care of each other, we can also take good care of the children, young people and families who need us most."
