Nurse for healthcare quality and education at MerVib

Do you want to help create clear and safe health professional workflows for children, young people and staff? MerVib is looking for a nurse who can train staff in medication handling and personally handle medication tasks.

MerVib has four children's and youth homes in Herrestrup, Grevinge and Jyderup. We work so that children and young people feel safe, belonging and have influence over their own lives. Our narrative approach and curiosity about the child’s perspective also shapes collaboration across professions.

Your task

You will play a central role in translating our health professional instructions into a usable plan in MerVib’s workflows, in close collaboration with management and colleagues. The work includes, among other things, responsibility and competencies, record-keeping, consent, hygiene, medication handling, unintended incidents and self-inspection. You will also help ensure that our health professional instructions are professionally reviewed, version-controlled and used in everyday practice.

You will also be responsible for practical medication tasks, including dispensing of medication – that is, preparation and distribution of medication in dosing containers according to applicable orders and instructions.

An important part of the position is also to educate and advise MerVib’s staff continuously in medication handling. You make professional knowledge concrete and applicable, follow up on training and contribute to maintaining and developing the good competencies in the staff group.

You will also be involved in the pedagogical work in the houses during daytime or on weekends. How this is organized we agree based on your interests and the other tasks of the position.

• are a trained nurse and have solid experience with medication handling, including dispensing, and health professional documentation
• can write clear instructions and translate professional requirements into workflows that staff with different educations can use
• are keen to teach, guide and follow up on colleagues’ competencies
• work systematically and independently and thrive in close collaboration with management and pedagogical staff
• meet children and young people with respect, curiosity and an eye for their perspective.

Experience from a children's home or another social offering is an advantage.

Terms: Salary and start by agreement. Pension and health insurance. Driver’s license (B) is a requirement, and we obtain a child and criminal records check before employment.
