Who are we?
Arts Studies is the faculty's study administration. Our core task is to create good study programs through planning, guidance, case processing, study regulations work and quality assurance.
We help turn academic and managerial decisions in the education sector into reality. Here you will meet colleagues of all ages with diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experiences. We value a sense of community with room for diversity. Both when we exchange weekend experiences in the coffee queue, and especially when we share professional knowledge and ideas with each other.
The vacancy is in the case processing team, a team characterized by strong professional expertise, curiosity and a clear culture of collaboration. We are 15 case officers, a team coordinator and a student assistant.
You will join an experienced team that is highly motivated to welcome a new colleague. We would like to hear from you, whether you are a recent graduate or have extensive experience with case processing.
Your upcoming tasks
The case processing team has a broad portfolio including appeals, dispensation applications, pre-approvals, merit, certificate issuance and requests for access to documents.
We need an extra pair of hands for exam appeals and legal appeals, and therefore seek an employee who primarily will work with this case area.
Your primary task will be processing appeals from students, but you should also expect to process applications for dispensation (e.g., special examination conditions or additional examination opportunities), pre-approvals, or to participate in working groups. Since no two appeals are the same, curiosity is a clear advantage.
The appeals area requires daily collaboration with your other colleagues in the appeals team. In addition you will also have close collaboration with the rest of the case processing team, Arts Studies and the study leaders.
You will receive thorough training in the legal, administrative and political aspects of processing the appeals, and your input to further develop the existing workflows will quickly come into play as we continuously develop our practice.
Is it you we are looking for?
We imagine that you
- Have a higher education degree or broad experience with case processing
- Can thrive with operations and case processing of especially appeals
- Have an efficient and structured approach to task solving
- Are proactive and professionally curious
- Have good communication and collaboration skills.
