About the job

Occupational therapist for an exciting position at North Zealand Hospital

We are seeking from December 1, 2026, a new colleague 32 hours per week in a permanent position.

Are you an occupational therapist with a particular interest in the dysphagia area in adults and children, and also in children with cerebral palsy and other work with hospitalized and outpatient children, then you have the opportunity now to be employed in a position that fulfills this interest in the central physiotherapy and occupational therapy at North Zealand Hospital.

We are seeking 1 occupational therapist who has pronounced good collaboration skills, who has ambitions on behalf of the profession and is naturally focused on how occupational therapists both now and in the future health service can contribute to creating good patient pathways both internally at the hospital and across sectors. We can offer you an exciting job with a varied work week with patients in several specialties.

Who are we?

The Central Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (CT) covers medical and surgical wards at both Hillerød and Frederikssund Hospitals as well as in the pediatric area. CT is normed to 3 occupational therapists, as well as 19 physiotherapists in Hillerød and 8 in Frederikssund. In addition, the team consists of a house assistant and a secretary as well as clinical instructors.

The Central Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy is organizationally linked to the department of physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and there is an opportunity for professional sparring and development with the neurological and orthopedic-surgical physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

CT is characterized by a high professional level, where we support each other in daily work, and where there is also room for humor and informal tone. Space and opportunity for professional development are highly valued, as is an ongoing focus on the working environment and well-being.

North Zealand Hospital is one of the four large acute hospitals in the Capital Region and offers treatment at the hospitals in Hillerød and Frederikssund as well as in the Health House in Helsingør. Our core task is to offer patients the best and most effective treatment, where the patient’s needs guide the efforts. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists at North Zealand Hospital play a significant role here.

About the position

You will mainly be dealing with assessment and rehabilitation of inpatients with dysphagia. In the longer term, and depending on your competences, there will also be specialized tasks in intensive care and in the hospital’s swallowing clinic.

In addition, the role will include work with children with cerebral palsy in our CPOP outpatient clinic, as well as assessing the need for development of a rehabilitation plan for hospitalized and outpatient children.

In carrying out the occupational therapy tasks you will work closely with the 2 occupational therapists in CT, as well as the therapists in the children’s team.

By default there should be on-site presence of the occupational therapist 2-3 mornings per week at Frederikssund Hospital, but this is planned flexibly depending on needs and distributed among the 3 occupational therapists. A driving license and access to a car will be an advantage.

You will report to the head therapist in the central physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
