About the job

Are you passionate about neurorehabilitation, and motivated to make a concrete difference for people with acquired brain injury? Do you thrive in a close multidisciplinary collaboration where the patient’s goals and possibilities are at the center? Then it may be you we are looking for as an occupational therapist in Ward 3.

We are seeking an occupational therapist for a permanent position from December 1, 2026. The position is essentially full-time and involves day, evening and weekend shifts with weekend shifts on average every 4th weekend.

About Ward 3

In Ward 3, we work with highly specialized neurorehabilitation of patients with acquired brain injury. Many of our patients have severe cognitive challenges, but the target group is broad and varied, providing a versatile and professionally exciting work environment.

You will meet patients with extensive sensorimotor, perceptual and communicative challenges, including dysphagia, as well as patients with a high physical functional level, where the main challenges are cognitive, emotional and/or behavioral. Each patient pathway is unique, and the rehabilitation requires an individually tailored effort, where professionalism, creativity and collaboration go hand in hand.

Your role as an occupational therapist

As an occupational therapist you will be a central part of the patients’ rehabilitation process in close multidisciplinary collaboration. You will work with assessment, treatment and guidance across body, activity and participation levels, based on the individual patient’s goals, resources and needs.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Occupational therapy assessment and treatment of activity challenges.
  • Training and guidance in personal activities of daily living (P-ADL).
  • Assessment and treatment of dysphagia.
  • Assessment and treatment of cognitive, perceptual and sensory functions.
  • Planning of rehabilitation pathways with a neuropedagogical approach.
  • Education and guidance for patients, relatives and collaboration partners.

You will participate in both individual treatment courses, cross-disciplinary double treatments and joint activities where rehabilitation is integrated into meaningful daily activities.

A strong professional community

You will become part of a team of about 50 committed colleagues consisting of nurses, social and health care assistants, doctors, physiotherapists and six occupational therapists.

We work in multidisciplinary teams around the individual patient, and we place great emphasis on respecting each other’s professional backgrounds. As an occupational therapist you contribute with your special knowledge about activity, participation and everyday life, while also becoming part of a close and developing collaboration.

We offer

  • An unique opportunity to work with highly specialized neurorehabilitation.
  • A structured introduction program with relevant courses and training.
  • A mono-professional mentor and experienced colleagues who support your professional development.
  • Good opportunities for sparring, teaching and competency development.
  • A strong multidisciplinary collaboration with the patient at the center.
  • A workplace characterized by high professional standards, psychological safety and helpful colleagues.
  • Opportunities to develop both your occupational therapy and neuropedagogical competencies.

Who are you?

  • You have an interest in neurorehabilitation and preferably experience within the field.
  • You are curious about the connection between occupational therapy and neuropedagogy.
  • You can work independently and at the same time thrive in a close multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • You are reflective, flexible and motivated for professional development.

The most important thing for us is that you want to join a committed community and contribute to rehabilitation pathways of high professional quality.

Why choose us

At Ward 3 we believe that the best rehabilitation pathways are created through strong relationships, high professionalism and a good working environment. We prioritize learning, sparring and development, and actively work to create a culture where it is safe to ask questions, share experiences and learn from each other.

If you want to make a difference for people with acquired brain injury and become part of a professionally strong and engaged community, we look forward to hearing from you.
