About the job

Do you want to apply your occupational therapy expertise and make a difference for people with complex support needs?

Would you like a daily life where professionalism develops and where you have the opportunity to think creatively and develop yourself?

The organization is constantly changing and we see an exciting future, where we develop our offerings and where we challenge our professional skills and competences.

We have got new, exciting tasks and therefore we are looking for another competent occupational therapist , who wants to become part of an ambitious and strong professional community, across professions.

With us, structure and recognizability are crucial to create security for citizens. At the same time daily life is often unpredictable and places demands on your professionalism, flexibility and ability to adapt your approach to the individual.

It is an advantage if you have experience with the target group or from work in a care home, but not a requirement. The most important is that you want to bring your professional knowledge into play and help create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the citizens.

About the Offer for Special Arrangements

The Offer for Special Arrangements in OVUS consists of the departments Tårnly, Tårnbo, Løvhøj and Kuben. Additionally, a new building is planned with two more departments.

The offer contains an individual shielding/guarding initiative focusing on creating a daily life with structure, recognizability and continuity.

Together we solve one of the most specialized tasks in the social sector, for citizens with substantial and complex support needs.

All citizens have permanently reduced mental function, and several have a good language function. In addition, citizens may have issues such as personality disorders and deviant traits, substance abuse problems as well as outwardly acting, self-harming or boundary-crossing behavior. Some citizens may also have a treatment order or order for placement in an institution.

We focus on safety in our work and are currently in a process in collaboration with SIKK, where we sharpen safety and use risk assessments as a concrete tool in everyday life.

We offer a combined housing and activity offer, where good staffing coverage and an individually tailored pedagogical approach form the basis for our work.

Your task – occupational therapy focused on the individual resident

You will become part of a multidisciplinary staff group, where we have clear professional expectations of each other and work from methods such as Gentle Teaching Nordic, Low Arousal 2 and neuro-pedagogy .

In daily life you work closely with your colleagues to create a safe and developing everyday life for the residents. We take the individual resident's functional level as our starting point and have particular focus on the sensory challenges, which we work specifically to support through relevant professional approaches.

You will have the opportunity to bring your occupational therapy knowledge into play in the multidisciplinary collaboration and contribute to solutions based on the individual resident's needs and possibilities.

We are looking for you who …

We are looking for someone who is professionally well-founded, curious and motivated to develop your professionalism in collaboration with others.

We expect that you

  • Are appreciative and resource-oriented.
  • Can help residents find relevant activities in daily life and create motivation to participate in them.
  • Insist on creating positive relationships – even when it's difficult and takes time.
  • Focus on collaboration and relational coordination across professions
  • Have written competencies, as we work with professional documentation
  • Are open to sparring and active participation in supervision.

We offer you
