At Solgården we are looking for a new colleague.

A colleague who knows that good cleaning is about much more than clean surfaces.

It is about health, dignity, safety and well-being. About creating environments where people want to be, and where both residents and staff can feel comfortable.

Therefore we are seeking a skilled and engaged cleaning assistant for 28- 30 hours per week at one of our houses, where there live 24 people with dementia .

Welcome to Solgården

Solgården is a large nursing home with small, home-like environments.

We have 104 residents with different needs and life stories, and we work every day so that Solgården is first and foremost experienced as a home .

With us aesthetics, homey feel and atmosphere are not something we save for special occasions. It is part of everyday life.

We have skilled social and healthcare assistants, social and healthcare assistants, nurses and nursing leaders. We have a fixed physiotherapist and occupational therapist attached and collaborate with, among others, a music therapist and our two regular nursing home doctors, etc.

We have our own large kitchen where meals are prepared daily.

But a good home is not created by one professional group.

We create it together.

Cleaning is an important part of our professional quality

At Solgården we place high value on cleaning.

Good and systematic cleaning is essential for a healthy environment. It helps to interrupt transmission routes and prevent the spread of infections, and it has significance for both residents’ and employees’ health and work environment.

But for us quality also means something more.

A clean, fragrant and inviting home has significance for the experience of dignity, calm and well-being.

When a person moves to a nursing home, the apartment becomes their home. Therefore cleaning must be carried out with respect for the fact that you enter another person’s private apartment every day.

High precision and warmth must be able to exist simultaneously.

You will work in a house with 24 people with dementia

That places particular demands – also for you who work with cleaning.

When you come with your cleaning cart, you meet people along the way. Some may want to talk to you. Others may become uneasy by sounds or changes. A resident may have forgotten who you are, even though you met yesterday.

Therefore your way of being present matters.

We are looking for a colleague who can meet people with calm, respect, kindness and patience.

You do not need to be trained in dementia care. But you should want to understand the people you work among, and be open to learning.

We need your professionalism

We expect you to have a sense of thoroughness and hygiene and be able to work systematically and independently.

You should be able to see what needs to be done – even without anyone having to tell you.

Your tasks will include cleaning residents’ apartments, common areas and other relevant areas in the house as well as cleaning tasks in accordance with applicable hygienic principles and guidelines.

You must be able to plan your work, prioritize your tasks and at the same time maintain flexibility when everyday life around you changes.
