Operating Theatre Nurse sought for Plastic and Breast Surgery Department .

We are looking for two nursing colleagues for a permanent position. Appointment on 1/1-2027 or as soon as possible. The positions are 37 hours per week.

The specialties are characterized by high quality and activity level and a large patient flow, where the majority of patients have or have had a cancer-related diagnosis.

In the Plastic and Breast Surgery Operating Department we carry a wide range of diagnostics and treatment. We are two specialties, both in rapid development.

In the Plastic Surgery specialty, general and specialized plastic surgery at a high level is provided.

A large group of our patients are offered diagnostics and treatment of, among others

• Melanoma and other forms of skin cancer.
• Surgery after major weight loss (MWL).
• Surgical reconstruction.

In the Breast Surgery specialty, diagnostics and treatment of patients with breast cancer as well as patients with benign breast conditions are handled.

The specialties collaborate concerning patients who undergo oncoplastic breast surgery.

Over a period you will be trained in both specialties.

We are a department with 15 operating nurses, consisting of both younger and older nurses. Some have many years of experience, while others are newer to the field. We are adaptable and robust with a positive attitude towards change. We maintain an open and honest tone of interaction and place high value on the good working environment. We have access to 15 operating bays per week, all located in the Hospital City.

In addition we assist on 10 bays weekly for minor procedures. These bays are located in the outpatient building in Hospital City. The function is carried out in collaboration with staff from Plastic and Breast Surgery Ward.

We feel we have come far but continue to work on becoming well established in Hospital City. We have a strong focus on the good patient journey and the working environment.
