In Afrodite Daycare House we are seeking educators for our kindergarten, who are motivated by professional development and the opportunity to make a real difference for the children and the community. We are part of the Sanderum-Tingløkke District and an integrated daycare house with one baby group and two kindergarten groups.

We are in the process of strengthening our professional foundation and developing the learning environments, the organisation and the culture that will characterize the house going forward. Therefore we are seeking educators who want to be co-creators of a strong professional community. With us you do not merely enter an existing culture, you become part of the work to shape it.

Our view of children obliges

At Afrodite Daycare House we work from fundamental assumptions about children, communities and adults' responsibility. This is expressed, among other things, by our belief that:

• Children are not the problem. Children show the problem.
• All children have the right to experience themselves as meaningful participants in communities.
• Change starts with us adults.

These basic assumptions form the basis of our pedagogical work. Therefore we continually direct our gaze toward our own practice and the learning environments we create around the children. We believe that strong relationships, clear adults and conscious learning environments create good conditions for well-being, development and participation.

Outdoor space as a learning space

Our playground is an important part of everyday life and an active pedagogical learning space. Here we work consciously with participation opportunities for all children and create room for both the large communities and the smaller, where there is room for calm, relationships and deepening. We also actively use the local area and see outdoor life as a natural part of the children's learning, development and communities.

Our everyday life

As an educator at Afrodite Daycare House you become part of a professional community where we together develop our pedagogical practice. We work purposefully with organisation, structure and clear adult positions, because we know that it creates good conditions for the children's well-being and participation. In daily life you help support and develop strong children's communities, plan and carry out pedagogical activities in collaboration with colleagues, and translate professional reflections into action.

You actively contribute to the development of learning environments and pedagogical quality and participate in a close and meaningful collaboration with the parents regarding the children's well-being, development and learning.

The position is remunerated according to the applicable collective agreement. The expected salary level will be stated before a potential interview and depends on experience and qualifications.
