About the job

We are looking for you who are passionate about early intervention, relational work and strengthened parental collaboration, and who want to become a pedagogue in the kindergarten in Nordlyset, part of the Himmelblå day care in Glostrup.

Himmelblå is a 0–6 year institution consisting of two departments, Mælkevejen and Nordlyset, which are located about 600 meters apart. The position is located in Nordlyset, where we are seeking a pedagogue for our kindergarten. We are looking for an engaged pedagogue who will actively contribute to our continued development with a focus on children's well-being, development, learning and formation.

In the kindergarten in Nordlyset there is an NEST offer, and you will become part of a room community consisting of another pedagogue and a pedagogue assistant. As part of the NEST organization there are fewer children in the rooms, which creates good conditions for presence, deepening and participation opportunities for all children. There is also attached an inclusion pedagogue to the kindergarten, who supports the pedagogical work with inclusion, communities and children in vulnerable positions.

You will come to work with sign language and other special pedagogical tools as a natural part of everyday life, both in the general child community and in the work with children in vulnerable positions. Nordlyset is also a DGI-certified sports institution, where movement, play and bodily learning are an integrated part of the pedagogical practice.

In Himmelblå there is plenty of heart space, positive energy, presence and professional pride. In our approach to children, parents and each other we place high value on integrity and close collaboration. Relational work is our unwavering foundation, which we continually build on, and the effect for the children is the parameter we measure ourselves by.

We work from a resource-oriented mindset and a systemic perspective, where we focus on both children's and parents' strengths and actively use them in creating the best possible life for children. We place a high value on presence to create caring, developmental and guiding relationships with the children, and we are persistent in developing a strong professional culture where evaluation and reflection are central elements.

We go to great lengths to create positive relationships with all children and parents and are particularly strong in relational work, language initiatives, work with children and families in vulnerable positions as well as in parental collaboration.

In Himmelblå we are professionally bold and dare to wonder, be curious and critical of our own practice. We work, among other things, with TOPI, ICDP and the language staircase and are focused on ensuring equal opportunities for all children, which sets high requirements for ourselves and our pedagogical practice. Everyone has a voice, and we emphasize that you can alternate between leading and giving space to others, and that you dare to ask questions and engage in professional dialogue – both when something inspires and when something calls for wonder.

You do not have to know it all, but you should know the most important. Your way of being as a person and your view of children is the most important to us, and therefore we welcome applications from both newly trained and experienced pedagogues. We emphasize that you can see and use children's competencies, start from the children’s perspectives, create presence in everyday life and participate strongly in relational work, including in a NEST environment and with the use of special pedagogical tools such as sign language.

We offer a workplace with professionally competent and ambitious colleagues, a high level of reflection and courage to be self-critical. The atmosphere is positive and inclusive, and we have a strong work community where we lift the core task together. There are good opportunities for professional development and sparring with both colleagues and management, and there is a high ceiling as long as it has an effect for the children.

We offer ICDP training, cross-disciplinary collaboration around children and families in vulnerable positions, a diverse group of children with strong child communities and a professionally strong staff group.

You are very welcome to visit Nordlyset. We promise that you will be convinced to apply for the position before you go home. With us professionalism and job satisfaction go hand in hand.

The application deadline is 30 November 2026, and we conduct ongoing interviews. If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the pedagogical leader in Nordlyset, Michella Johannis, at phone 29 39 91 05.
