On-call substitutes sought for around-the-clock shifts

On-call caregivers wanted

I am a 45-year-old man who is spastic and sits in an electric wheelchair. I have my own apartment/townhouse in Roskilde and need help with all practical everyday tasks. That is personal care, practical help with cleaning and cooking, etc. at home.

I am trained as an IT administrator.

It would be an advantage if you have education or experience in the social and health or disability field. But not a prerequisite, as personal chemistry is also decisive in the job. It is however important that you in your other private and work life have flexibility and are prepared to prioritise this job as well.

I am seeking one or two on-call substitutes who will become part of my pool of substitutes where shifts are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis

I cannot know how large the need for an on-call substitute is each month, but roughly about one to two shifts per month

Working hours: A full weekday shift is 24 hours and a weekend shift is optimally 48 hours, both Saturdays and Sundays. But the shifts can be divided.

The start time is 7:00 AM in the morning also on weekends.

As an on-call substitute you must have a flexible weekday where you have the opportunity to begin with short notice, e.g., in case of acute illness at a shift

As a disability helper it is important that you

Are hardworking and have a sense of order

Are responsible

Are flexible

Have a driving license (for a standard passenger car) Driving experience in wheelchair/van cars preferred

Have good physical fitness

Have respect for the person, the job and the help that needs to be provided and make that your first priority when you are at work.

Have situational awareness and can be anonymous in situations that require it

Can initiate tasks yourself.

Have your hands properly on the task

Help to always keep my home presentable

Can juggle several things at once and you take pride every time that all tasks are completed properly before each shift ends.

Can maintain confidentiality

Have a cheerful and open mind and an easy smile and have a sense of humor

Are stable

I imagine that you as a person are fit and have a calm and balanced temperament, whether man or woman.
