Oracle Database Administrator for the State IT

About the position At our organisation you will have the opportunity to play a central role in the operation of some of Denmark's most exciting and societally critical IT solutions. As a DBA with a focus on Oracle you will be part of Team Database, which has the operational responsibility for Statens Its customers' database systems.

You will be attached to our Oracle group in Team Database. The group consists of five experienced employees who look forward to sparring with you and sharing their knowledge in daily work.

You will also have close cooperation with colleagues across the organisation, so it is important that you thrive in a daily life with many tasks and can maintain an overview when there are several balls in the air.

Together with 13 engaged colleagues in Team Database you will among other things work with:

• Daily monitoring and operation of our Oracle databases on Windows, Linux and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC).
• Handle operational tasks as well as 2nd level support on the Oracle databases.
• Establishment and configuration of Oracle databases on Linux, Windows and ExaCC.
• Participation in projects in connection with analysis, implementation, sparring, migration and upgrade.
• Ensure efficient handling of operational disturbances and production stoppages and contribute to a safe and stable operation through proactive monitoring and ongoing improvements.

About you We are looking for an employee who preferably can have

• Experience with the operating systems Linux and Windows.
• Experience with operation, maintenance, security, patching, troubleshooting and performance tuning of Oracle databases, and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with other Oracle products and tools.
• General knowledge of physical and virtual infrastructure, including networks, backup and virtualization.
• Experience with ExaCC, Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA), Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Oracle Key Vault (OKV) would be an advantage.
• You must be able to speak and write Danish.
