About the job

About the job

Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center (OGC) is seeking an occupational therapist on 37 hours/week for a permanent position.

OGC's task is to support outpatient rehabilitation (Health Act §140) of citizens who are discharged from hospital with a rehabilitation plan after orthopedic intervention/operation/trauma focusing on the hands and fingers, e.g. Colles fracture, finger and metacarpal fractures, as well as extensor tendon and nerve injuries. Rehabilitation may also include interventions aimed at the forearm and elbow. The target group is limited to adults in the working age.

The rehabilitation includes, among other things, counseling and guidance in activities, exercises, aids and orthoses. Including addressing pain issues and complications that are a consequence of the orthopedic problem.

Rehabilitation can take place in person or virtually.

Rehabilitation is primarily conducted individually, but in some cases it is meaningful to offer citizens group training in a pool and/or in nature - these groups are mainly run by physiotherapists.

At OGC we have a close collaboration with, among others, Job Aarhus, health units, Aarhus University Hospital, general practice, civil society and the CePR research clinic.

In addition to rehabilitation, OGC also has a task to support competency development of occupational therapists across the Department of Health and Care – this happens through sparring, professional networks and teaching.
