About the job

Are you ready to help create a daily life where children thrive, develop and experience that they belong? Do you want to use your pedagogical expertise both in the school and in the after-school program (SFO) and to develop good communities together with children, teachers and pedagogical colleagues?

Then you might be our new colleague.

At Fløng School and in SFO Kæret we are looking for a pedagogue who wants to make a difference for the children – both at school and in their spare time.

Fløng School has around 700 pupils, and in SFO Kæret there are about 250 children. We are committed to creating participation opportunities for all children and believe that well-being, development and learning grow in strong communities. Therefore we work every day to create safe and inclusive environments where children feel they belong and matter.

You follow the children through the day

The position is attached to the lower school (indskolingen), where you become part of a year-group team consisting of teachers and pedagogues. You follow a class through the lower school and become an important adult in the children's everyday life over several years. This provides the opportunity to build strong relationships, safety and continuity for the children and to closely follow their development.

In the school you work closely with the teachers to create participation opportunities, well-being and development for the children. You contribute with your pedagogical perspective on both the individual child and the community, and help create structure, good relationships and coherence throughout the day.

When the school day ends, the sense of community continues in SFO Kæret. Here play, relationships, movement, creativity and the children's own initiatives are central. Together with your colleagues you create activities and communities that give the children a desire to participate and be with others.

We have room for your ideas

We want to create an SFO that the children look forward to coming to.

Therefore we are curious about what you bring with you. Perhaps you are passionate about music, creative workshops, outdoor life, movement, gaming or something completely different. The most important thing is that you want to bring your interests and competences into play, engage with the children and create meaningful experiences and communities.

We have good facilities and attractive outdoor areas that allow you to test new ideas and develop activities based on the children's interests and needs.

We succeed best together

At Fløng School and in SFO Kæret you are not alone with the task.

We believe that the best solutions arise when we collaborate, share experiences and use each other’s different professionalities. You will become part of a staff community where we help each other, brainstorm and take joint responsibility for the children.

We value integrity, humor and a work environment characterized by trust and respect.

You will also become part of a workplace with management that is close to practice and prioritises dialogue, professional sparring and the well-being of the staff.

We develop our practice together

We are curious about our own practice and committed to continually developing it. Therefore we are looking for a pedagogue who wants to reflect on their work, share their perspectives and contribute to the development of learning and leisure environments where all children feel like valuable participants.

You do not need to have all the answers in advance. The most important thing is that you are professionally curious, willing to share your perspectives and want to find solutions together with others.

You get a good start

We make an effort to give new employees a good start.

You will receive a structured onboarding program, a buddy from day one and ongoing opportunities for sparring with both colleagues and management. Whether you are newly qualified or experienced, you should feel that there is someone to ask and lean on along the way.
