Educator for maternity leave cover at Præstø Børnehus

We are seeking one educator 37 hours per week in a maternity leave position until the end of March 2028 with an expectation of permanent employment.

We are opening a new kindergarten group as of November 1, where we start with the first 6 children. We have hired a very skilled assistant who will be professionally supported by the neighboring room for you to join (there is a door between the rooms).

Professionalism, recognizable structure, joy and a good laugh, immersion, curiosity, shared culture and collaboration on our common core task are some of our key words.

We have just had an exciting joint pedagogical Saturday, where we have started the process around our shared evaluation culture.

In addition, we participate in the research project Strengthened language assessments and are a sparring partner to other day care facilities in connection with All Children's Daycare.

Our house has 150 enrolled children distributed across 9 rooms, of which four rooms are infant groups and one playroom for day care. We have two toddler groups and three kindergarten groups with a fourth on the way.

We are located in the lovely Præstø with SFO as a neighbor and close to forest and beach. We use Hjernen og Hjertet as the basis for our curricula in relation to goals and evaluation, as well as Topi as the basis for our annual parent-teacher conferences about the children's wellbeing and development.

We have an engaged parent board and parent association as well as a well-functioning MED committee. We are up to date with guidelines, staff handbook, etc. We prioritize a good working environment and social interaction, which also means that we "talk to each other and to ourselves". We have set aside time for other tasks and hold staff meetings every other week at lunchtime. In addition, we hold staff/team meetings once a month with professional content and a pedagogical Saturday.

We have an appreciative and welcoming approach including children's perspectives, where a framework-setting structure and learning throughout the day are given high priority.

We work in smaller groups in the rooms and prioritize time and calm for immersion, which means we do not disturb each other from 9:00 to 10:30. Language, nature and science, movement and creativity are part of the weekly activities. We collaborate across the whole house, where bridging and knowledge of both children and adults are in focus.
