In the Multiple area of the Social Administration in Copenhagen Municipality we work to ensure that adults in our housing facilities can live as active, meaningful and dignified lives as possible with as much self-determination and life mastery as possible.

The housing facilities house adults with multiple functional impairments, which can be physical, mental and cognitive in different combinations and degrees. Many also have psychiatric diagnoses or pervasive developmental disorders.

Right now we are recruiting both social educators and social- and health care assistants for several of our housing facilities. We are looking for new colleagues with the education in place

We are looking for you who are educated as a social educator or as a social- and health care assistant, and who want to work with adults with different and complex support needs.

You meet people with respect and presence, are curious about the individual and can adapt your approach to the individual's needs. At the same time you work in a structured way, take responsibility for your professional skills and know that cross-disciplinary collaboration is crucial to deliver the best for the citizens.

Maybe you have experience from the disability sector, psychiatry, elderly care or something completely different. The most important thing is that you want to bring your professional skills and reflective ability into play in close collaboration with the citizens and your colleagues.

It’s about creating a everyday life according to the citizens’ needs

At our 14 housing facilities, adults with different needs for support in everyday life live. Some work and use public transport themselves, while others need extensive support throughout the day. Therefore development also varies from person to person.

"It’s about creating a everyday life and shaping the day according to the residents’ needs. Taking a step back, I help the residents with their lives. This is where they will be for the rest of their lives. This is their home. I am not family, but I am their ambassador. I must help them shape their lives," says a future colleague from the Multiple area.

And that is exactly what it’s about: to support the individual in getting as much influence as possible on their own life. This can be through support for work and leisure, structure in daily life, practical tasks, personal care or companionship. You observe, document and follow up on development and health and help find solutions that create more independence, security and quality of life.

You will become part of an interdisciplinary community

We work from a common professional stance, where health care and neuro-pedagogical approaches work together. We call it SundNeuro. We are curious about what lies behind an action or reaction, and how we best can tailor our support to the individual.

You do not need to know it all from the start. We ensure that you get a thorough introduction, colleagues to brainstorm with and opportunities for professional development.

You will become part of an interdisciplinary working community with among others social educators, social- and health care assistants, nurses and therapists.

How we find your match

• You apply by filling out a short questionnaire about your education, experience and wishes for the workplace and geographical location. You also upload your CV and diploma.

Salary and terms of employment

The positions are full-time with rotating hours, including day, evening and weekend shifts as well as holidays. Schedules vary from facility to facility.

Salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement.

We collect references and police clearance as part of the employment process.
