Educators sought for a full-time temporary position at a special school on Funen

Would you like to be part of a fixed team and contribute to a safe,

structured and developing school day for children with special needs?

Udviklingsbasen is looking for pedagogical staff for a temporary position, generally 37 hours per week, at a special school on Funen. The temporary position starts as soon as possible and runs until Christmas. You will get your own schedule and be attached to the fixed team around the one or more classes you will work in.

About the school and the children

The children have various challenges that affect their ability to regulate their emotions appropriately. These can include ADHD, behavior within the autism spectrum, anxiety or relational and attachment difficulties. The children are, to start with, of average intelligence. The school offers both teaching and morning and afternoon SFO (after-school care).

Your role in everyday life

You will have hours in both the school and the SFO. The work will primarily be in the early primary and/or middle grades. However, you must be flexible and able to step in in other classes when needed. As part of the fixed team you should actively contribute to a stable daily life, follow the school’s pedagogical direction, and cooperate closely with your colleagues on the children’s well-being, participation and development.

We are looking for someone who

We would very much like you to be a trained pedagogue and have experience with children who need clear structure, presence and professional support for emotional regulation. It is important that you can create calm and predictability, loyally engage in the school’s pedagogical work and contribute constructively to interdisciplinary collaboration. You also need to be flexible and maintain an overview in a changing everyday life.

Working hours and employment

The position is initially 37 hours per week with working hours on all weekdays between 07:15 and 16:00. You will get a schedule, so you have a predictable workweek and the opportunity to become an integrated part of the school’s daily life and professional community.
