Are you bold and professionally strong in your reflections and actions in interaction with others?

Are you community‑minded at a workplace?

We are looking for you who have the following wishes for your upcoming workplace

· Wish to work in a professional environment where we have expectations of each other

  • Opportunities to work with social- and special pedagogical tasks in a development-oriented perspective.

· See the value in good social- and special-pedagogical professional documentation

  • Can see the value in working in varying shifts (day or evening) as well as every other weekend

A short overview of the residents living at Stenumgård

There are currently 6 residents living at Stenumgård.

They are individuals with autism spectrum disorders. The residents all also have a permanently significantly reduced mental functioning, etc.

The offering targets citizens who have a pervasive need for support around the clock.

The residents at Stenumgård have different support needs, so tasks for each resident will vary, but for all residents the work with structure, predictability and recognizability is essential.

There is currently no transfer/mobility work at Stenumgård.

There may be physically outward-ward challenging behaviour among some residents. For example pulling hair, tugging clothes, throwing objects, hitting, kicking, pushing, and there may be a bite from one resident.

We work preventively and de-escalating, with aftercare in relation to violent episodes.

At Stenumgård you will work with all residents. In addition you will be part of a small team around one resident, where you will be tasked with working in a structured professional manner with one or two colleagues on the concrete ordering goals, structure plans, descriptions of interactions etc.

Your professional task in collaboration with the individual resident

The primary task is to support the residents in a good daily rhythm, a structured and predictable everyday life, and to attend to the needs that arise.

You follow each resident's daily rhythm. Including support to get up in the morning, participate in interaction and activities throughout the day.

To view the individual resident from a holistic perspective including there is ongoing collaboration with the area's nurse regarding health-related tasks.

There is also a substantial motivational effort in the interaction with the residents, especially with two of the younger residents.

There is preventive work with the residents' well-being levels here with a focus on LA2U in the development of the daily structure, in collaboration with the individual resident.

There are very few tasks regarding assistance with personal hygiene for residents – mostly verbal guidance/instruction is needed.

We require a high level of professional observation, reflection, documentation and willingness and desire for close collaboration with the residents, colleagues, management and external partners.

We work with an appreciative approach, based on the methods KRAP, ASK (alternative augmentative communication), SIKK and risk assessment. In autumn 2026 all staff will receive 4 days of training in LA2U.

Based on the intake of residents there are several vacant positions. The positions are initially 37 hours – requests for part-time positions can be accommodated

Definition of our core task

"In the disability sector we collaborate with the resident to create a safe, home-like and development-oriented environment. We start from the individual's needs, wishes and dreams, so that the resident is supported to be an actor in their own life."

This is always our joint focus and the essence of our work and collaboration.
