About Elevhus

Elevhus is part of the Center for Development and Autism, CUA, which is organized in Disability, Life Mastery and Communities in the City of Aarhus. CUA consists of 9 residential facilities for adult residents with various physical and mental disabilities.

Elevhus has 12 places under the Danish Housing Act §105 and the Social Services Act §85 distributed across two houses next to each other. In house 5 there are 6 places and the same in house 4. All residents have extensive developmental disorders, including autism and intellectual disability. They have significant and lasting reduced mental functioning.

A characteristic for all of them is that they, among other things, have challenges with sensory regulation, executive functions, social relationships, communication, and most communicate via nonverbal language. They need support for ordinary daily functions and personal hygiene. Support for the individual is provided based on a concrete and individual assessment.
