Pedagogical staff for UngeVærk and UnderVærk at Fritidscenter Indre Valby

Indre Valby Leisure Center is seeking engaged colleagues with a desire to develop our UngeVærk and UnderVærk by creating an active culture in collaboration with the young people.

Indre Valby Leisure Center consists of six youth clubs, a UngeVærk and a UnderVærk as well as an outreach team. The leisure center covers an area around Valby and Vesterbro and primarily receives children and young people from the nearby schools and local area.

Indre Valby Leisure Center is part of Leisure Cluster Valby/Vesterbro/Kgs. Enghave (the leisure cluster VVK), which covers the municipal 10-18 year old leisure offerings in Valby. The cluster consists of two leisure centers: FC Inner Valby and FC Outer Valby.

At Indre Valby Leisure Center we work with KIDS KLUB, which is a research-based tool to assess the pedagogical quality of our offerings. We use KIDS KLUB to develop and improve the environments that constitute children and young people’s well-being, learning and development, including particularly the physical surroundings, relationships as well as play and activities. This we do, among other things, through ongoing observation of practice over longer periods to provide a picture of development and at the same time become wiser about areas that can be worked on further.

We are seeking pedagogical staff for UngeVærket on Rubinsteinsvej and UnderVærket in Folehaven.

We are looking for new colleagues who

• want to give the young people an active everyday life through planned activities, projects and courses – we are not looking for specific competencies, but simply that you bring something you are passionate about passing on to the young people
• are good at seeing what the young people are interested in and follow, motivate and support them
• can work with young people in groups and resolve conflicts and create calm around them when needed
• are motivated to continue our work with educational readiness, transitions to adult life, youth involvement and democracy
• take responsibility for and actively participate in the collegial work community, but also can work independently and take initiative to solve common and own tasks
• will work two evenings per week – either 21:00 or 22:00 from Monday to Friday – this will depend on whether it is in UngeVærket or UnderVærket, as opening hours differ
• have reasonable competencies regarding the use of computers and other digital media, as we work in Outlook, SharePoint and Aula (you will receive an introduction to it all)

It is an advantage if you have experience with the target group, but this is not a prerequisite. Maybe you are a trained pedagogue, or perhaps you have another professional background that you can put to use, but the most important thing is that you have the heart with you and want to work with young people aged 13-17 years.

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Before employment, references as well as a child and criminal record check will be obtained. Note that we obtain the extended criminal record certificate, which goes 10 years back.

The positions are permanent, 10 hours per week – two evenings per week (Monday to Friday) from 16:00-21:00 or 17:00-22:00. We also are seeking hourly paid substitutes to cover sickness and similar situations.

The positions are to be filled as soon as possible.
