Pharmaconomist for Clinical Pharmacy in Psychiatry

Clinical pharmacy in psychiatry has close interdisciplinary collaborative relationships in psychiatry, with high ambitions and a strong sense of collegiality. We strive to provide flexible working conditions with opportunities for development, and there is room to grow.

The department consists of a total of 9 pharmaconomists spread across 5 psychiatric centers at three hospitals. For the pharmaconomist services there is attached one medicin service pharmacist who works across all centers and can support with pharmacological expertise and assist with development in the individual centers. There are also 8 clinical pharmacists employed at 6 psychiatric centers at 4 hospitals with pharmacological and psychiatric specialized knowledge distributed across the various psychiatric centers, in addition to a department head.

We expect to find one skilled and self-driven colleague who will help maintain and further develop our work in optimizing medicine management in psychiatry. A large part of your daily work is in the clinical environment in the center's wards and their medication rooms.

Your tasks

Together with a colleague you will work independently at PCG and help ensure a high patient safety level, medication safety and rational pharmacotherapy.

You will get a fixed desk in a shared clinical pharmacology office together with your pharmaconomist and pharmacist colleagues.

You will perform medication service, which includes prescription review, ordering medications, correct storage, checking expiries and assessing medicine consumption in relation to standard assortment and recommendations.

You handle daily drug notifications in Sundhedsplatformen (Health Platform), and you are open to engage in constructive dialogue with the departments' staff when questions arise. Here you will be supported by the pharmacists' knowledge and have the opportunity for ongoing sparring.

In addition there will be other medicine-related tasks, e.g., recording medical history, staff training, help with packing of leave medications depending on PCG's ongoing needs.

Salary and employment terms

The appointment is made in accordance with the contract below. The starting salary may vary depending on your seniority, experience, education and the geographic location of the workplace.
