Then you may be the pharmacy assistant (pharmaconom) we are looking for in Clinical Pharmacy at OUH Svendborg Hospital, where you will have a daily life close to the patients with great professional variation.

Why you should apply with us

In Svendborg we are a small team of 20 employees, where high professionalism, shared responsibility and good collaboration are the foundation of our everyday life. We consist of pharmacists, pharmaconomists and pharmacy assistants, where everyone knows each other and helps each other across functions. We succeed best as a team, and therefore we emphasize collaboration, professional sparring and shared responsibility.

  • You get a patient-nurtured daily life with great professional variety
  • You become part of an experienced and helpful team
  • You receive thorough training and a secure introduction to all functions
  • You gain great influence on the planning of your tasks
  • You contribute directly to safe and effective medication of the patients

As a pharmaconomist with us you help ensure that patients receive the right medicine at the right time. Your work makes a concrete difference for both patients and clinical collaborators every single day.

The Pharmacy serves all departments at OUH Svendborg Hospital, Ærøskøbing Hospital, Nyborg Hospital and Hospice Sydfyn. From January 1, 2027, Hospital Pharmacy Funen will also take on a new and exciting task: delivering medicines to health and care centers in the Funen municipalities, where the pharmacy in Svendborg will be an important part of the solution.

We are looking for a pharmaconomist who wishes to become part of an engaged team with high professional standards, great variation in tasks and close contact with both patients and clinical partners.

We offer thorough cross-training within the own function to ensure you become familiar with our processes and procedures. In addition, part of the training will take place with colleagues in Odense.

We highly value professional development and sparring and continuously work on developing our tasks, workflows and competencies, e.g. through courses.

A position with us involves not only being professionally skilled. You are also hired to collaborate across the entire hospital and at the pharmacy.

Our shared daily life

Every morning all gather with a basis in planning the day’s tasks. You play an active role here in making the plan work. Everyone has a responsibility to bring all ends together – at the same time it is an important part of our culture that we help each other across tasks. With us we pull together, and the day’s tasks are not considered finished until we all reach the goal.

When the day’s tasks are allocated, your workday will be based on a degree of independent planning and professional judgment.

Therefore it is important that you can combine independent task solving with a strong focus on the community. The tasks are very varied and include the following:

  • Record medication histories
  • Pack medicines for patients at discharge
  • Ensure the necessary medicine stock in the departments
  • Advise departments on handling IV medicines
  • Order machine-dispensed medicines for patients
  • Dispense medicines to patients
  • Inform and guide clinical staff on correct use of medicines and the medicine room

We imagine that you...

  • Are a trained pharmaconomist
  • Have good cooperation and communication skills
  • Thrive with contact with patients and clinical staff
  • Can work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
  • Contribute positively to the community and the work environment
  • Are curious and open to changes
  • Thrive with a daily life where collaboration and shared responsibility are highly prioritized

We expect you to contribute constructively to the collaboration and share responsibility for our common tasks. We succeed best when we help each other and stand together on the decisions we make as a workplace.

The health service is continually evolving, and therefore our tasks and workflows also change. We are looking for a colleague who is curious, adaptable and enjoys trying new solutions together with the rest of the team.

It will be an advantage if you have experience from similar jobs or with related tasks, but it is not a requirement. The interest in the content and framework of the work is the focus.

If you are motivated by patient contact, professional challenges and a strong collegial community, we look forward to receiving your application.
