About the job
Site Internship and Logistics Manager for Muskelsvindfonden's events
Do you have experience leading the setup and execution of events? Can you get plans, people and equipment to come together? We are seeking a site manager with a special responsibility for our new festival and tasks at Grøn and Cirkus Summarum.
In Muskelsvindfonden's fundraising department we are behind Grøn and Cirkus Summarum. We are now working on a new festival in Aarhus with its first edition in the summer of 2027.
We are seeking a site manager who will be responsible for site production and logistics - from production plans and preparation in the warehouse to managing the practical work during the buildup, execution and dismantling.
Your work
You will have overall responsibility for planning and executing the festival's site production and logistics - from the preparations until the site is packed down and the equipment is back in the warehouse.
You will become part of the group that works on planning the festival, and you will have a particularly close collaboration with the project manager and the site and atmosphere manager. Together you will translate the festival's layout and expression into concrete plans for how the site is arranged, built, operated and taken down.
Your main task will be the new festival. In addition, you will be part of Team Praktik and will take on tasks at Grøn and Cirkus Summarum. You will also participate in warehouse weekends and other practical tasks in the department. This can include coordinating renovation, transport and logistics. The concrete tasks are distributed in the team based on your experiences and competences and the tasks that need to be solved.
Your key tasks will be
- Plan and lead the site production. Create production plans and coordinate setup, practical operations and dismantling, including site technology, electricity, water, forklifts and renovation.
- Keep control of logistics and equipment. Plan transport, deliveries and disposition of equipment and consumables together with the warehouse.
- Lead and coordinate the practical work. Allocate tasks and follow up with project staff and contractors and work closely with the volunteer coordinator on the volunteers' tasks and staffing.
- Cooperate with suppliers and other festival functions . Obtain quotes, negotiate agreements and coordinate practical solutions across the festival.
- Plan and participate in the preparation in the warehouse. Together with the warehouse team ensure that equipment is built, tested and packed - and received and repacked after the festival.
It is a new arrangement, and there are still practical solutions to develop. You should be eager to find them with us and take responsibility for bringing them to life.
Who are you?
You have experience from the events industry and know how to take a production from plan to reality. You know what it takes to lead the work through buildup, operation and dismantling - perhaps from a festival, a venue, a theatre, an expo center or similar.
We place particular emphasis on the following: you
- Have at least three years of experience with practical production planning and can maintain an overview of tasks, deliveries and deadlines.
- Can distribute work, give clear directions and follow up and can point to concrete results from previous work.
- Prefer to lead from the front when what you have planned needs to be done, and have experience with materials, tools and practical solutions.
- Are comfortable working digitally in connection with production plans, orders and overview.
- Are good at collaborating with colleagues, volunteers and suppliers.
You take responsibility for your tasks and see things through. You don’t need to do everything yourself, but you know when to draw on others' knowledge, and you keep colleagues informed when plans change or when a joint solution is required.
You will become part of the team
You will become part of an experienced team that, together with our volunteers, plans and executes Grøn, Cirkus Summarum and new arrangements. Here we jointly strive to create great experiences, community and surplus for Muskelsvindfonden's work.
You will have the opportunity to shape a new festival from its first year and colleagues who are happy to share their experiences. The tone is informal, and you will receive trust and responsibility for your tasks - with help from the rest of the team when needed.
Practical
The position is a full-time appointment at 37 hours per week. Your primary workplace is the office in Aarhus. In addition you will work at our festival sites during the summer and on average 1-2 days per week at our warehouse in Hedensted. Here you will work with both planning and practical preparations together with the warehouse team. The distribution varies throughout the year.
Working hours also vary, with peak season in spring and summer and less work pressure in autumn and winter. There will be evening and weekend work in connection with warehouse weekends, buildup, execution and dismantling. You should expect to participate in both the new festival, Grøn and Cirkus Summarum. In the interview we will go through how the work year and the periods at the arrangements are expected to look.
Salary according to qualifications and pension scheme.&p>

We especially want to hear about a production or an arrangement where you were responsible for planning and the practical work. What was your role, and what were you responsible for to make it succeed?
The application deadline is 1 December 2026. We expect to hold interviews in weeks 50 and 51 with a start on 1 February 2027.
