About the job

Are you empathic, structured and action-oriented?

And would you like to help support students through their education and on towards hands-on practice, jobs and careers – through guidance, administrative support and targeted SPS support?

At IBA we value closeness and quality highly. We are one of the country's smaller business academies, which means short decision paths, strong collaboration across the organization and a lively learning and study environment, where we constantly develop to match society's and the business community's needs.

We work purposefully to create good conditions for students' learning and completion and to bring education and practice closer together. As an administrative employee for internships and careers and as an SPS supporter you will play an important role in creating structure around the career and internship efforts and in supporting students with special needs in their study everyday life.

IBA's Career Office builds a bridge between education and business. We create frameworks that support students' path to internships and facilitate events and networks that build and strengthen relationships between students, companies and relevant partners.

You will become part of Studies Service, where collaboration, service and an action-oriented mindset are core elements. The department consists of 11 employees who work closely together on tasks within study guidance, study administration and admissions, careers, SPS as well as well-being and students' completion.

About the position

The position combines coordination and administration of the career and internship area with a role as an SPS supporter. You will therefore have tasks that require coordination of activities, systematic follow-up and guidance in close collaboration with teachers and other colleagues. Just as you work closely with individual students with SPS needs to develop and apply compensatory strategies that support well-being, learning and completion.

Your main tasks

Career and internship

  • Coordinate career activities in collaboration with teachers, heads of education and other stakeholders.
  • Be the lead on IBA's internship agreement system and job portal and contribute to the development of the systems.
  • Coordinate drop-in guidance in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow up on internship contracts and support students who do not yet have an internship contract.
  • Individual guidance of students in connection with internship search.
  • Collect and process data for internship evaluations and prepare analyses.

SPS support

  • Carry out individually tailored SPS support programs for students with special needs.
  • Support students in developing and applying compensatory strategies, e.g. to gain overview, maintain focus and direction and work with strategies that identify barriers and support motivation.
  • Ongoing alignment with the student and adapt the support program to the individual's needs.
  • Collaborate with the student to describe and evaluate the support program.
  • Collaborate closely with SPS managers, teachers, study counselors and other relevant colleagues.

We imagine that you

  • Are patient, present and empathetic – and that you feel comfortable in a role with several collaboration interfaces.
  • Have strong administrative skills and thrive with structure, follow-up and documentation – and preferably experience from a politically governed organization and basic knowledge of administrative law.
  • Want to and have experience with supporting students with special needs.
  • Work independently, solution-oriented and keep an overview in a busy daily life, where you manage to communicate clearly and professionally – both in writing and orally.
  • Have experience from an educational institution – that is an advantage but not a requirement.

We offer

  • A versatile position where administration is combined with close contact to students.
  • A strong, engaged and helpful team in Studies Service.
  • A dynamic organization in development.
  • Opportunity to influence the task solving.
  • A workplace with focus on quality, collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Salary and terms of employment according to applicable collective agreement. The position is full-time.
