About the job

Would you like to work with prevention? Then you have the opportunity to participate in smoke- and nicotine-free initiatives, where you will plan, coordinate, and implement concrete actions in close collaboration with a wide range of actors.

About us

The Danish Cancer Society has five regional offices across Denmark. The regional office's task is to support volunteers' efforts and work on cancer policy in relation to regions and municipalities.

About the internship

Your tasks include among other things

  • plan, coordinate, analyze, evaluate and develop initiatives
  • attract, motivate and retain volunteers, plan and personally participate in events at upper secondary education, teaching at schools and possibly dietary interventions.
  • hold professional/social events for volunteers
  • instruct, advise and communicate with volunteers
  • get courses in running quit-smoking events as well as tobacco and nicotine prevention
  • Develop event and educational materials
  • collaborate with municipalities, local associations and other actors

About you

We expect that you

  • are in the process of a education in health-, communications- or social sciences at a university or university college
  • are ready to take independent responsibility with many tasks outside the office
  • have a good mood, ability to work in a team and a desire to communicate
  • are good at acting at both a cross-organizational, analytical, coordinating and practical level

We offer

You will work closely with another intern on the tasks. You will be based at our headquarters, Strandboulevarden 49 in Copenhagen, where you will move among our specialists in the prevention area.

You will gain a unique insight into one of Denmark's largest interest organizations, and how voluntarism is a cornerstone of the association's goals and work.

This is an unpaid internship from the start of February 2027 to mid-June 2027, or as long as you can within this period. The weekly number of working hours is 30-37 hours. There are evening tasks in connection with courses. We are flexible regarding exams and the like.
