Do you know how to convey investigative journalism to the young target audience? Then you may be the one we are looking for at TV 2 Dokumentar.

The role

At TV 2 Dokumentar we are looking for an independent editor/producer who knows what interests young people between 18 and 30, has plenty of ideas and can turn them into agenda-setting documentaries that are bold in both content and form.

Previously, the editorial team has among other things produced programs about drugging in nightlife, deaths in Laos, drugs in Livgarden, and most recently we have revealed how men secretly film Danish women and share and sell the material on international forums and closed groups in The Hunt for Creeps .

Your primary tasks

• You identify and develop ideas that can become agenda-setting documentaries targeted at young people.
• You are responsible for planning shoots and production in collaboration with visual producers, photographers and editors.
• You are responsible for the storytelling in the role in close collaboration with the editor and the editor-in-chief.
• You have clear ideas on how we achieve strong impact with the documentary in the target audience when it is released.

This is a freelance project appointment, which in the first instance is agreed for one year.

You will be based at Kvægtorvet in Odense.

The team

You will become part of a small team in a documentary department totaling around 50 employees, including journalists, photographers, editors, editors, graphic designers, visual producers, interns and managers.

Your profile

You are a team player, you have drive, and the expression “that’s how we usually do it” does not hold you back from trying something new.

You are good with people and have a steady hand when it comes to vulnerable sources and participants.

It is advantageous if you have experience with investigative journalism, but it is not a requirement. You will be part of a department that has extensive experience in exactly that, and therefore the most important thing is that you are motivated to develop, are imaginative and have great range when it comes to planning, dramaturgy and editing.

We are looking for you who

• Have plenty of ideas with the potential to become investigative documentaries.
• Have experience in making documentaries for the target group, either from the production industry or elsewhere in the media industry. It is an advantage if you can film yourself, but it is not a requirement.
• Have dramaturgical understanding and are creative when it comes to form and storytelling.
• Know what engages the target audience, and perhaps are part of it yourself.
