Product owner (senior) - Cards

Do you want to shape the future of card solutions for Danish banks and take product ownership in a highly specialized area undergoing major transformation?

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with strong knowledge of cards to join Cards at BEC.

Cards is a business-critical domain, and we are looking for someone who combines solid card-domain expertise with strong product ownership. You will play a central role in developing card solutions for BEC's banks and help shape the transition towards our future card platform.

Your key responsibilities will include

As Product Owner for Cards, you will turn customer needs, card-domain requirements, regulatory changes and business opportunities into clear product priorities. You will have a clear mandate within your product area, balancing the needs of today’s card solutions with the transition towards BEC’s future card platform.

• Own, refine and prioritize the product backlog based on customer value, business value, risk and feasibility.
• Contribute card-domain expertise and customer insights to the product strategy and long-term direction for BEC's card solutions.
• Translate business needs, regulatory requirements and product opportunities into clear features and priorities.
• Contribute to the Cards roadmap and ensure that priorities are aligned with customers and relevant stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with BEC's banks and maintain an ongoing dialogue about needs, priorities and deliveries.
• Work closely with business analysts, architects and development teams to clarify requirements and make product decisions.
• Manage and align stakeholders across BEC, customers and relevant external partners.
• Contribute to the transition towards BEC's future card platform and help ensure clear priorities between current and future card capabilities.
• Follow up on product goals and customer and business value.

To succeed you will have

• Significant experience and knowledge within cards, combined with experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable product role.
• A strong understanding of card issuing, card management, physical and digital cards, and the cardholder lifecycle.
• Strong product thinking and the ability to combine your card-domain expertise with broader customer and business needs.
• A solid understanding of banking products and customer journeys.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to challenge requirements and translate complex business and regulatory topics into clear product priorities.
• Experience collaborating closely with customers, business specialists, architects, and development teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• The ability to create direction and set clear priorities in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, competing needs, and different perspectives.
• Experience with agile product development methodologies, such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Be fluent in English, enabling you to work effectively in an international environment and communicate confidently with clients.

It is an advantage if you also have experience with

• Card payments and transaction flows.
• Digital wallets and tokenization.
• Card schemes, processors or card-platform vendors.
• Regulation and compliance within cards and payments.
