About Hamarhus

Hamarhus is a children and youth home for children and youths from 7-18 years old under § 43 of the Child Act and a temporary residential care facility under § 107 of the Social Services Act for youths between 18 and 20 years. We are part of Special Area Children and Youth (SBU) in Region Midtjylland and located in Viborg. We work from a humane view of children and youths, where all children do their best and have the right to be seen, heard and respected.

Our pedagogical foundation is built on Low arousal, autism pedagogy, sensory profiles and neuroaffective developmental psychology, which we apply purposefully to support the individual’s development. We work closely with relatives, municipalities and other professional disciplines and therefore we prioritize education, innovation and quality highly.

About the position

With us you get influence on the shift plan. You will become part of a contact team with primary responsibility for 1–2 youths and an important role in working with the rest of the group. Working hours mainly between 7:00 and 23:00 and will consist of day, evening and weekend shifts.

You have

• Education as social educator
• Experience with the target group
• Ability to create safe, respectful relationships with children and youths
• Experience with collaboration with parents and networks as well as documentation
• Reflective ability and good knowledge of your own reactions and effect on others
• Desire for interdisciplinary collaboration and preventive pedagogical work
• Engagement in professional development and responsibility for your own tasks in the team
• Knowledge of LA2
• Preferably knowledge of neuroaffective developmental psychology

About Special Area Children and Youth

SBU is one of Region Midtjylland's eight special areas and consists of six specialized departments, three internal schools, a special kindergarten, STU and individually tailored day services. It gives us the opportunity to offer particularly specialized solutions to municipalities and create development opportunities for some of society's most vulnerable children and youths.

Practical

It is a permanent position with salary and terms in accordance with the collective agreement between SL and Danish Regions.

A driving license is required, as there will also be transport with the youths. Criminal and child protection checks are obtained on appointment.
