About the job

Do you want to use your experience with labor law and negotiation to make a real difference to members' working lives? And are you looking for a job with professional challenges, great responsibility and skilled colleagues? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for at HK Trade East Jutland.

Use your professionalism to make a difference

At HK Trade East Jutland we fight for fair pay and working conditions for our members in areas including retail, warehousing and head offices.

We are looking for an experienced professional consultant who can handle professional cases and conduct negotiations independently. You have solid knowledge of labor law and collective agreements and can translate your professionalism into concrete solutions for the members.

You could, for example, come from a position as professional consultant, professional secretary or HR partner. The important thing is not your current job title, but that you have experience with professional cases and negotiations and can bring your competencies into play from day one.

You will get an independent and versatile role where you work with everything from complex professional cases and negotiations to advice and development of the professional community at the workplaces.

Your role and your tasks

You will become part of a team with another professional consultant, a caseworker, two member advisors and five organizers. We work closely together to safeguard members' rights and strengthen the professional community at the workplaces.

With us, professional case handling and organizing go hand in hand. We work not only to solve the individual case but also to empower the elected representatives and members' opportunities to stand stronger together.

Your tasks will include, among other things

· advise and handle professional cases, including interpretation of the collective agreements, identification of potential breaches of the agreements, as well as collective cases and issues arising from business transfers and mergers.

· conduct independent negotiations, handle disagreements and find solutions that safeguard the members' rights.

· advise and support elected representatives and collaborate with colleagues on organizing and retaining members.

· disseminate professional knowledge and organize meetings and courses for members and elected representatives.

Your professional profile

We expect you to have solid experience with professional case handling and negotiation and be able to take independent responsibility for both parts. You should also have a solid understanding of the rules and framework of the labor market.

We place particular emphasis on the fact that you

· have solid knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor law.

· can analyze and handle complex professional issues and find sustainable solutions.

· are a skilled negotiator who can stand firm on your professional assessment while creating constructive dialogue.

· communicate clearly and credibly and can make complex rules understandable to others.

· work in a structured and independent manner, follow your cases through to the end and build trusting relationships.

· work safely with IT and documentation and be able to communicate professionally in English.

It is an advantage if you have experience with collective cases, breaches of collective agreements, business transfers, development of safety representatives or teaching.

You do not need to have experience with all tasks in the position. The essential thing is that you have the necessary professional ballast and judgment—and a desire to develop further in the role.

Who are you as a colleague?

You are professionally curious, engaged and persistent. You thrive with responsibility and can maintain an overview, even when cases are complex and there is pressure.

You are a team player who is happy to share your knowledge, consult with colleagues and contribute to good collaboration across the organization.

You want to contribute to HK's professional community and see the value in solving professional cases going hand in hand with efforts to strengthen members' positions at the workplaces.

What do we offer?

At HK Trade East Jutland you will get a job with meaning, professional challenges and an opportunity to make a real difference for the members.

You will become part of a strong professional environment with dedicated colleagues who help each other and work together to achieve results. You will have great independence, a broad contact surface and opportunities to use and develop your skills in dealing with professional cases, negotiations and organizing.

We offer good salary and employment terms, including employer-paid pension plan and a flex spending account. Salary is determined based on the current collective agreement and HK's pay policy.

The position is on average 37 hours per week including breaks. Working hours are arranged flexibly according to tasks, and occasional evening and weekend work may be expected. The workplace is in Brabrand.

It is a requirement that you have a driving license and a car available.
