About the job

Do you want to help create good frameworks for dialogue, influence and participation in Sønderborg Municipality?

We are seeking an MED consultant who can translate agreements and rules into guidance and processes that work in practice. You will have a central role in supporting and developing the municipality's MED-organization and a broad contact surface to managers, employee representatives and colleagues across the municipality.

HR and Occupational Safety

In HR and Occupational Safety we work across Sønderborg Municipality to create the frameworks for attractive working communities. We emphasize high professionalism, integrity and collaboration and in translating rules, strategic ambitions and organizational needs into solutions that work in everyday life.

With us you get engaged colleagues, good opportunities for professional sparring and a responsible job with broad contact surface and the possibility to influence the development of the MED area.

Our physical location is at the town hall in the center of Sønderborg.

About the job

As an MED consultant you will be a professional advisor and process consultant in the MED area. You must be able to move confidently between agreements, organizational considerations and different perspectives. The task is anchored in Personnel Law in HR and Occupational Safety, where you become part of a strong professional environment.

You do not necessarily need to already be a MED specialist. The most important is that you have a strong professional toolbox, can navigate a complex organization and want to build or further develop solid specialist knowledge about MED.

Your main tasks

  • Advise managers, MED committees and the organization about the MED agreement and the MED system.
  • Advise on MED involvement in connection with organizational changes and other significant decisions.
  • Support the municipality's MED-organization and contribute to ensuring that the local MED agreement works in practice.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings, theme days, training and development programs.
  • Translate rules, agreements and principles into clear, usable and situation-appropriate guidance.
  • Prepare notes, guidelines, decision proposals and other written material.
  • Follow developments in the MED area and translate new knowledge into the municipality's practices.
  • Contribute to a close and constructive collaboration between the MED, personnel law and occupational safety areas.

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant education, e.g. as a jurist, cand.merc.jur., cand.scient.pol. or another relevant academic background. You can also have built your competences through solid experience from HR, organizational or MED areas.
  • have an eye for the connection between rules, organization and people.
  • can understand agreements and complex rule sets and translate them into concrete and understandable guidance.
  • have strong process and facilitation skills.
  • communicate clearly and confidently both orally and in writing.
  • work independently, structured and take responsibility for your field.
  • understand working in a politically led organization.

It is an advantage if you have experience with the MED system, collective labor law, collective agreements or cooperation between the labor market parties, but it is not a prerequisite.

You build trust on both sides of the table

The MED area is about agreements, relationships and good processes. You must be able to stand in situations where different considerations and interests meet, and contribute to clarity about frameworks, roles and possibilities. It requires professional security, integrity and strong relational competences.

Therefore you thrive in a consultant role where you do not own the decision yourself, but where your advice and process support have great importance for the organization to move forward.
