About the job

Do you want to make a difference for vulnerable and crime-threatened young people in Copenhagen? The Department of Social Affairs is seeking a committed project manager to lead the expansion of the Jobcadet initiative.

We are looking for a project manager for a temporary position starting on January 1, 2027 and running until December 31, 2028.

About the position

You will have overall responsibility for driving, developing and coordinating the Jobcadet initiative, which aims to strengthen vulnerable youths’ connection to the labor market through targeted pathways that prepare them to take on a part-time job. The initiative takes place in the districts where the Safety Partnerships are active – Folehaven, Amager and Tingbjerg-Husum.

The project is part of a broad cross-administrative collaboration with the Department of Social Affairs, Din Sociale Indgang – Børneområdet, the Department of Children and Youth, the Department of Employment, Integration and Business, and the Department of Climate, Environment and Technology.

What is Jobcadet?

Jobcadet is a crime-preventive response initiative that includes a restorative program with eight learning modules. Here the young people have the opportunity to discuss and reflect on their own skills, opportunities and future dreams.

The families of the youths will also be involved in the program, and local actors will be an important part of the cross-sector collaboration around the youths.

The overall purpose of the initiative is to support crime-threatened and disruptive youths in joining positive communities and discovering new possibilities to become part of the local area.

Your tasks

  • overall project management of the Jobcadet initiative in the Department of Social Affairs, including planning, coordination and further development of the program for vulnerable and crime-threatened youths, primarily aged 13-18
  • develop and coordinate an 8-week program consisting of modules focused on learning, social skills and preparation for a part-time job – in cooperation with the provider who facilitates the modules
  • collaborate and coordinate with the Safety Partnerships and the Housing Social Comprehensive Plan “Mit Kvarter” in Folehaven, Amager and Tingbjerg-Husum regarding recruitment and follow-up on the youths in the target group
  • ensure collaboration and knowledge sharing with relevant internal and external partners
  • responsible for facilitating status meetings, documentation, follow-up and evaluation of the initiative
  • contribute to the ongoing development of the initiative with a focus on quality and impact for the target group

We expect that you

  • have a relevant education, e.g., as social worker, educator or similar
  • have experience with project management – preferably from social work or education-related initiatives
  • have solid experience with youth initiatives, preferably aimed at vulnerable or crime-threatened youths
  • can facilitate development pathways, activities and processes for young people
  • are good at building relationships, motivating youths and creating safe learning environments
  • are structured, independent and have an eye for both detail and strategic overview
  • have strong collaboration skills and can navigate a cross-disciplinary and cross-organizational environment

We offer

  • a central role in spreading a meaningful initiative to several districts
  • opportunity to shape and develop an important initiative for vulnerable youths in Copenhagen
  • close collaboration with dedicated colleagues and partners across administrations
  • flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work

Employment terms

The position is a full-time project role and runs until December 31, 2028, with start on January 1, 2027.
