Project Manager for Building Services with Own Team and Full Responsibility

At Hartvig Gruppen A/S we are looking for a project manager for building services who gets energy from aligning cases, people and agreements into a higher unity. Good craftsmanship is not negotiable. Whoever you meet – on a construction site or on the phone – you meet a high professional level and, most importantly, the same respect for the customer's home and construction site. The same applies across tasks, whether it is an insurance claim, a wall to be painted, or a turnkey contract.

That has been how it has been since 2010, when it was just Anders Hartvig and a panel van. Today we are more than 70 colleagues across carpenters, masons, painters, joiners and administration – but we still go to work every day with the same mindset: we do it properly.

What we most want to be known for is still the same as in 2010: to do a proper and honest piece of work – together. As a project manager for building services you will be part of the community. It is you who ensures that what we promise the customer is also what the customer gets.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

As the project manager for building services at Hartvig Gruppen A/S you report to the department manager and have responsibility for:

• Your own cases from contract to handover, from minor service tasks to major renovations
• Leadership of your own team of carpenters, masons, painters, joiners and apprentices
• Economy, schedule and quality on your cases

And you will work on, among other things

• Drawing the plan for your team two weeks ahead and allocating the people so that the right hands are on the right jobs
• Ordering materials and coordinating subcontractors so that things follow each other
• Following the finances closely, especially on fixed-price projects, and giving the customer a price for additions along the way
• Being the fixed contact person for both private and business customers and inspecting new assignments
• Keeping customers informed, even when nothing special is happening
• Starting the week together with your team, acknowledging good work and helping each individual grow
• Ensuring a proper handover that the customer wants to tell others about

YOUR PROFILE

We imagine that you thrive as the hub for many people: customers, journeymen, suppliers and colleagues. You find it natural to handle many appointments at once, and you like to create calm and direction when a day doesn’t go exactly as planned. You place emphasis on the human aspect of leadership. You know that an experienced tradesperson must be met with respect, that an apprentice needs security to dare stand alone, and that a sincere thank you means more than you might think.

It is an advantage if you

• Are trained as a carpenter or mason, preferably with experience as a foreman or project manager
• Have experience with financial management, quotes and add-ons
• Have led tradespeople or want to develop yourself as a leader

You have a standard driver's license (B) and speak and write Danish.

WE OFFER

You will receive a thorough onboarding, where you learn our cases, systems and partners with an experienced colleague by your side. We invest in you as a leader so you gain tools to motivate, acknowledge and develop your team. This applies whether you have led before or this is your first leadership role.

You gain real responsibility for your cases and short decision paths, where your professional assessment weighs heavily. You will become part of a project manager team of 8 colleagues who share knowledge and spar with each other. You will receive a company car with yellow plates, so you have what you need when you are out on your assignments.

The position is 37 hours per week, and your primary workplace will be at our office in Gentofte.
