PSYCHIATRY - Nurse or social and health care assistant for Psychiatric inpatient ward S3

As several of our skilled staff will soon be going on maternity leave, we are currently looking for a nurse or social- and health care assistant for a maternity leave position of 15 months.

Ward S3 is an open/semi-closed inpatient ward that provides psychiatric treatment for admitted patients primarily with psychotic disorders, but also patients with personality disorders. S3 has space for 14 patients, and we receive patients residing in Randers, Norddjurs, Syddjurs and Favrskov municipalities.

The weekly working time is 37 hours with weekend duty every 2nd or 3rd weekend.

The position will as a rule be in day and night shifts, with start as soon as possible. It is important that you are prepared and willing to accept that night shifts are part of the position; they can of course be planned with consideration to your preferences.

We work in multidisciplinary teams around the patient, and as part of the team you will share responsibility for the daily coordination and planning of nursing and treatment tasks.

It is of great importance that you through your daily work are a good role model for our students and trainees, help inspire your colleagues, and help ensure the implementation of the ward's goals and applicable guidelines.

It is important that you are eager to meet the patient group and engage in the work with a patient, respectful and non-judgmental approach.

• Are educated as a nurse or social- and health care assistant.
• Are passionate about the psychiatric specialty and working with a often marginalized target group.
• With respect for and involvement of cooperation partners can take responsibility for the patient's treatment course.
• Have the desire and ability to involve the patient and the relatives in treatment.
• Have a patient, validating and accommodating approach to the patient group.
• Are able to make independent decisions and maintain overview, also in acute situations.

We hope that you have experience in one or more areas

• Patients with psychotic disorders.
• Patients with mental illness and concomitant substance use.
• Patients with mental illness and self-harming behavior.
