About the job

Do you want to work with early treatment interventions for children and adolescents in psychological distress and at the same time be part of a strong psychological professional and interdisciplinary environment? Do you believe that strong communities, early interventions and good collaborations make a difference for children and youths' well-being and development? - Then you might be one of our new psychologist colleagues in PPR in Vordingborg Municipality.

About us

In Vordingborg Municipality we work from a shared view of children and youth. We meet children and young people with the belief that everyone has resources, development opportunities and the right to be part of meaningful communities.

PPR is part of the Center for Daycare and Schools and consists of psychologists, speech and hearing consultants and educational consultants. Together we contribute to creating the best development and participation opportunities for children and young people through close collaboration with families, day care, schools and other partners.

With us you become part of a strong professional and interdisciplinary environment, where we prioritise sparring, knowledge sharing and joint task execution.

About the position

We are looking for a psychologist for our easily accessible treatment offer for children and youths in psychological distress.

You will work with referral, screening, psychological assessments and treatment courses for children, youths and families. The tasks include, among other things, individual treatment courses, parent programs and group programs as well as professional assessments of which interventions best support the child’s or the young person’s well-being and development. The offer is based on prevention and early intervention and is directed at children and youths with psychological distress and beginning psychological or social challenges.

At the same time you will become part of PPR's overall psychology group and will handle a number of the classic PPR tasks. You bring psychological knowledge into play in collaboration with children, young people, families and professional colleagues and contribute both to the development of participation opportunities in general environments and to more individual interventions when needed.

The position combines treatment tasks with pedagogical-psychological work in the daycare and school areas and provides opportunities to work across preventive, consultative, assessment and individual-focused interventions.

Your tasks may include

  • referral, screening and psychological assessments in the municipality's easily accessible treatment offers
  • individual treatment courses as well as parent and group courses
  • collaboration on referral, treatment planning and professional development of the treatment offers
  • pedagogical-psychological work in the daycare and school area
  • collaboration with daycares and schools about children, child communities and participation opportunities
  • advice, sparring and guidance to managers, teachers and pedagogues
  • psychological investigations, assessments and other PPR tasks

We know that psychologists bring different experiences, competencies and interests. Therefore we plan tasks, complexity and development opportunities so that they match your profile as much as possible. Whether you are newly educated or experienced, you will become part of a professional environment with a high degree of collegial support and opportunities for ongoing professional development.

We are looking for a psychologist who

  • holds cand.psych., preferably licensed or on the way to authorization
  • is focused on the well-being, development and participation opportunities of children and youths
  • can translate psychological knowledge into meaningful interventions in practice
  • thrives in interdisciplinary collaborations
  • works independently while actively contributing to the professional community
  • meets children, youths, families and partners with curiosity, respect and integrity.

We offer

  • an exciting and varied position with an important task in the municipality's easily accessible treatment offers combined with PPR tasks in the daycare and school area
  • opportunity to work with both treatment, consultative, assessment and individual-focused interventions
  • a strong psychological professional and interdisciplinary environment
  • engaged and helpful colleagues
  • supervision and possibility for authorization training
  • flexibility and influence on the arrangement of your tasks
  • good opportunities for professional development
  • relevant courses and upskilling.

Practical information

The position is 30-37 hours per week by agreement.

As a starting point you will be attached to one of the municipality's geographical areas, and you will therefore have tasks at several addresses. Therefore a driving license and car are an advantage.

Salary and conditions of employment according to applicable collective agreement. A child protection and background check as well as references are obtained upon employment.
