Sundhedsplejen Sydvest Aarhus Kommune seeks a public health nurse for a combined arrangement - this is a permanent position at 32-37 hours per week with start date January 1, 2027.

Sundhedsplejen Sydvest covers the areas Frederiksbjerg, part of the city center, Langenæs, Viby, Stavtrup and Harlev.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary determination takes place after negotiation with the negotiating union based on qualifications.

SUNDHEDSPLEJEN

Public Health Nursing in Aarhus focuses on health promotion and prevention for all children and young people. We have a strong professional environment and high ambitions for our work. We are divided into five geographic areas, each with its own public health nurse leader.

The approximately 115 employees in public health nursing collaborate across areas and professional disciplines based on our vision, "Together we promote the health and well-being of all children and young people".

We work holistically with parents, kindergartens and schools, other departments in Children and Young People in Aarhus Municipality as well as the Region. We are committed to promoting physical and mental health and well-being among children and young people, both through health-promoting and preventive efforts, and by providing help and support to vulnerable children and young people. We are focused on Stronger Learning Communities, meaning close collaboration both internally and externally.

Our secretarial group handles the administrative and coordinating tasks related to records, invitations in the school health service, telephone coverage, staff administration, payroll, holidays, sick leave, procurement and bookkeeping, etc.

ORGANIZATION

Public Health Nursing is divided into five departments and is part of Health in Children and Young People, Aarhus Municipality. The Health Department creates health-promoting frameworks and environments for children and young people in close collaboration with the many professionals in the municipality who are close to children and youths’ everyday life. The Health Department is development-oriented and works from a holistic perspective, 0-18 years, focusing on effect and quality in collaboration with kindergartens and schools. Health also has a strong focus on developing cross-sector collaboration with emphasis on better transitions between sectors, a co-creative family perspective in health interventions.

Health represents a broad range of professional expertise: Public health nurses, Children and Young People doctors, pedagogues, pedagogical consultants, health consultants and administrative staff. There are in total about 160 employees, and the culture in the department is characterized by engagement, high professionalism and dedication to make a difference for the children, the young people and their families with a view to health and well-being.
