Tarm School is looking for an on-call substitute

Are you bold, flexible and keen on a daily life with children and young people? Can you meet the students with kindness and engagement while setting clear boundaries? Then you may be our new on-call substitute at Tarm School.

About the task

We need an on-call substitute who can help periodically during planned absence and step in at short notice.

For planned absence you know your schedule in advance. For acute absence you may be called in the morning and offered substitute hours the same day. Therefore it is important that you are flexible and able to come at short notice.

You will teach across various subjects from 0th to 9th grade based on the plan laid by the absent teacher. Your task is to get the students started well, support them in their work and create clear frameworks for the teaching.

• are confident and want to take responsibility for a class
• meet the students with kindness, respect and interest
• dare to set boundaries and maintain clear frameworks in a calm and proper manner
• are flexible and quickly can familiarise yourself with the day’s tasks and maintain an overview
• are reliable, arrive on time and follow the agreements we make
• work well with colleagues and ask for help when needed
• face everyday life with good humor – even when something goes differently than planned.

It is an advantage if you have experience with teaching or working with children and young people, but the most important is your approach to the students and your courage for the task.

Tarm School has a total of 430 students distributed across two departments. Trustful communities and good teaching environments are at the center for both students and staff.

Practical information

You will be attached to the school as an on-call substitute. The number of hours varies according to the school's needs and is agreed on an ongoing basis.

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
