Rarely offered pedagogue position in a fantastic kindergarten in Roskilde

It isn't every day that we post a pedagogue position. In fact, we haven't had a vacant pedagogical position for 2 years. Now the opportunity is here – and perhaps it is you who should become our new colleague at Børnehuset Frejas Have.

We are looking for a trained pedagogue who wants to become part of a fantastic kindergarten with a strong sense of community, high professionalism, low sick leave and a focus on ensuring that both children and adults have the opportunity to succeed.

The position is newly created and is, as a starting point, for the house. Currently your primary attachment will be to our middle group, where the children are between 2 and 4 years old.

An kindergarten with city, nature and rural idyll Børnehuset Frejas Have is located in Roskilde's lovely district Himmelev, close to school and with good opportunities to actively use the local area.

We are a medium-sized institution with three departments and at the moment we have 90 wonderful children and a strong parent collaboration. We have three playgrounds, which provide the framework for lots of play, movement and immersion. At the same time we are surrounded by rural idyll and nature, which we actively use in our daily life.

With us there is both room to breathe, space for play and the opportunity to find calm and immersion.

Children do well if they can.... This is an important starting point for our pedagogical work.

When a child is having a hard time, we are focused on looking at what we as adults and the pedagogical environment can do to help the child succeed.

We believe that it is our responsibility to adapt the environments around the children so that they have the best opportunities for well-being, development, learning and participation in the community.

Therefore we work in a structured manner and with clear boundaries. Every day we organize ourselves into smaller groups of children, because it provides good opportunities for presence, immersion, relationships and to base our approach on each individual child group.

Special educational elements in everyday practice Børnehuset Frejas Have is a kindergarten with three children enrolled in Vækstplads, and this is an important part of our professional profile.

We work every day to integrate special educational elements into the general pedagogical practice. This means that we have a particular focus on how we can create participation opportunities for all children and adapt our pedagogical environments so more children can succeed in the community.

We are curious about what lies behind the child's actions, and we work on adjusting boundaries, structure, relationships and pedagogical tools when a child needs something else.

We have a fixed attached special pedagogical advisor in the house who provides sparring and guidance to staff regarding the challenges and dilemmas that can arise in everyday pedagogy. This means that you as a pedagogue are not left alone with the complex situations, but have the opportunity to receive professional sparring close to practice.

Vækstpladserne and the special educational perspective are thus not something that stands beside our other pedagogical practice – they help qualify it.

As a pedagogue with us you will become an important part of the pedagogical work and of the community surrounding the children.

In the middle group you will currently spend your days among children aged 2-4 years. Here we work among other things with relationships, play, language, independence and the children's participation in the community.

Although you will currently be attached to the middle group, we are seeking a colleague who wants to be part of the whole Frejas Have.

We help each other across the house, share our professional knowledge and stand together on the complex tasks in daily life. For us it's important that we can both be focused on our own group of children and at the same time have an eye for the whole house.

The position is 30-37 hours per week, which will be agreed closer depending on your wishes.
