Kamager is seeking two pedagogues for flexible working hours of 32-37 hours.

High professional competence, flexible working hours and a cross-professional collaboration in co-leading teams.

Kamager is a well-functioning residential care home for 40 adult residents with physical and mental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders, epilepsy, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and Angelman syndrome. What the residents have in common is that they need a lot of help and support.

We are part of the Capital Region (Region Hovedstaden), and we work for a good life at and beyond Kamager. Our professional approach is based on a neuro-pedagogical reference framework with emphasis on Low Arousal and a conflict-minimizing approach.

Your role at Kamager

You will have a workplace with colleagues who are skilled, engaged and have solid professional competencies. We invest resources and energy to develop our professional skills and the way we organize tasks.

• In the good life, residents' needs are always the most important. We work with the whole person, and there are both pedagogical, health care and many other tasks to be solved in collaboration with and for the residents – regardless of your education.
• You are involved in developing and adapting the professional approach for each individual resident.
• You join a co-leading team with highly prioritized and structured meeting activity.
• We receive external supervision in both the professional aspects and the collaboration as an art.
• We expect you to share your knowledge and have a desire for competence development, as we prioritize resources for it. Development opportunities are very good at Kamager.
• We insist on flexibility, and you therefore get a large degree of influence on your work schedule within agreed frameworks.
• You will receive an induction period and ongoing professional sparring, and you participate in Kamager Academy, which is our internal training.

Flexible working hours

We operate on a 6-week rotation in a flexible duty roster system, without fixed “base plans.” You will work both day, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts from 07:00 to 23:00. You contribute with your own preferences for the duty roster, and therefore have great influence on your working hours according to the concept developed for self-chosen working time. There are limits to how many weekend and evening hours you must deliver in a duty plan, and we share holidays.

Kamager as an employer

Kamager consists of five care home teams with eight residents in each team. In a team there are 8-10 fixed colleagues and several fixed substitutes. We work in co-leading teams without department managers. We focus on each resident's need for support and continuously adapt our communication, requirements, goals and methods. We value collaboration skills and we use metaphors from “The Three” to talk about what can be difficult to discuss. We insist on letting professional knowledge and collaboration go hand in hand.

Our wishes and expectations of you

Whether you are experienced, young or older and perhaps have felt like changing track, is less important to us. For us the most important thing is that you have the courage to support residents in all aspects of their daily life. This includes helping with all functions around personal care and hygiene (e.g., bathing, washing and diaper changes), meals, light cleaning, accompanying residents to shops, managing residents’ finances, treatment in case of illness and participation in activities and holidays – in other words around the whole resident life.

You have good communication skills. The organization in co-leading teams means that the team plans, coordinates and takes responsibility for acting on the tasks itself. The prerequisite for this working method to succeed is clear communication between colleagues, good and structured meetings and being good at giving and receiving feedback.

• We prefer that you have a driving license.
• Kamager is completely smoke-free during working hours and on the premises.
• Knowledge of autism is an advantage and otherwise can be learned.

The positions are for occupancy on January 1, 2027.

Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement supplemented with Kamager’s locally negotiated agreements.
