About Department Rønnebæk

The Rønnebæk department is characterised as an attractive elective school with a green profile and high academic standards. At Rønnebæk, people actively engage in the community and do their best - both as children and as adults.

The department has

• one track from 0–6th grade

• a broad student base and focus on safe, inclusive learning environments

The position: We are looking for a qualified teacher for a permanent position, primarily with Danish as a line subject for teaching in both the lower primary and the middle years. We place emphasis on academic depth, engagement and the ability to create an overview of the students’ school day. Subjects such as physical education, English, history, Christianity and possibly food science and swimming will also be part of the position. The role also includes a homeroom teacher function for the sixth year.

• is academically strong in Danish
• has control of classroom management
• can build safe relationships with all students and actively work with inclusive communities
• can create participation opportunities for students with different backgrounds
• can create practice-based teaching sequences for the students
• can support varied learning forms (e.g. movement and hands-on learning)
• participates in close and mutual collaboration with the team and the parents
• can participate in joint planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching
• can co-create a shared learning vision and a common practice
• communicates clearly and constructively about students’ needs and development
• can support students in taking responsibility for the community
• can actively work with classroom culture, norms and forms of participation
