About the job

About the job

Are you passionate about helping to create security and care for children’s meaningful first years? Can you see yourself creating an exciting and developmental pedagogical learning environment with calm and time for immersion in a small group of children?

If you recognize yourself in the above and live in the Municipality of Rødovre, this might be you we are looking for. You will become part of a dedicated staff group that is passionate about giving the children a safe, fun and developmental everyday life.

Your daily workday is in your own home in Rødovre, where you will create good and inspiring frameworks for you and the children. You do this in close cooperation with the Dagplejekontoret (Daycare Office).

There is also a binding and close collaboration with your colleagues in the day-care group. You regularly spend time together on sparring and collegial interaction. At the same time, the day-care children get the opportunity to meet other children and adults.

Dagplejen has a fixed playroom day once a week. Here you share in the child group, and the children get the opportunity to play across. This is, among other things, where there is room for development, reflection and sparring. We also actively work on developing an educational learning environment. This applies both at home and in the playroom.

There is also an opportunity to become a “trilledagplejer” (mobile day-care provider). This means you pick up the children from the parents and either go on a trip or home to you. We currently have another day-care provider who also trills.

The working hours are 48 hours per week in the time frame 7:00 - 16:45. You will be compensated with 7 extra days off per year due to the long working hours,

Several times a year we hold staff meetings in the evening. We use the lunch hour in the playroom for planning and pedagogical sparring. In addition, we hold pedagogical Saturdays and parent meetings for the day-care’s parents.

We participate in internal courses and the continuing education opportunities planned in the Municipality of Rødovre. In addition, we offer other subject-relevant courses and continuing education in child development.

Your profile

The most important thing for us is that you are curious about what the children are interested in, and that you are reflective in your pedagogical practice. With your approachable and presence-filled demeanor you create safe, caring and trustworthy relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

If you are a pedagogue or pedagogical assistant you are also very welcome to apply.

Why you should choose us

You will gain life-affirming time with wonderful children, and a close, highly prioritized collaboration with parents. Your working day will be varied with fixed routines in the child group, but there is also room for spontaneity.

There are currently 32 day-care providers employed, who have enrolled 3 - 4 fixed children.

You will become part of an engaged staff group, where some of your colleagues are trained pedagogues or pedagogical assistants. We place a high value on good collegial collaboration, and most of all we all share a passion for creating the best development conditions for the children and each other.

There is close collaboration with your day-care pedagogue, with the day-care leadership and you therefore always have the possibility for sparring and guidance.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 48 hours. In connection with the hire, a child background check will be obtained.

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement, as well as a pre-agreement between Rødovre Municipality and FOA. As a day-care provider you have a 62% deduction in addition to your own deduction.

Start date by agreement
