The Roskilde Diocese seeks to fill, as of January 1, 2027, a building consultant for service housing, etc., until December 31, 2030.

We are seeking a building consultant who understands the many facets of the Church of Denmark's building stock.

The appointment is fixed-term for a period of 4 years and is a side activity.

Profile

To be considered as a building consultant you must be educated as Architect MAA or have a correspondingly recognised foreign degree.

Responsibilities

The tasks involve advice and guidance to parish councils, deanery boards, and the diocese upon request on, among other things:

• The priestly residences and farm buildings, etc.
• Renovation, including indoor climate, addressing moisture challenges with a focus on sustainable solutions, energy optimization and environmental considerations
• Demolition of buildings
• Construction of new buildings
• Purchase, lease, or sale of buildings and building plots.

You shall, as a building consultant, upon request, issue statements in cases relating to the above areas.

You will also participate in the assessment of parsonage housing with a view to determining housing contributions. In addition, you shall participate in the annual building inspections at the diocese's administration building and the bishop's official residence.

It is important to note that as a building consultant you must not undertake design tasks for parish councils within the diocese you are employed by, unless the diocese exceptionally approves it.

Remuneration

The remuneration as of January 1, 2026

• Consultation cases in accordance with § 8 in Circular no. 9779 of 6 October 2009 on the common instruction for the Church of Denmark's consultants: 1,236 DKK per hour.
• Statements cases in accordance with § 7, sec. 1, in Circular no. 9779 of 6 October 2009 on the common instruction for the Church of Denmark's consultants: 1,854 DKK per statement.

The remuneration includes holiday allowance of 12.5%, while no VAT is to be added.

Rates are adjusted annually on January 1.
