About the job

School pedagogue sought for Fårup School and Children's Village - Do you want to help create the best start to school life?

Perhaps it is you who should help create safe communities, strong relationships and good childhoods at Fårup School and Children's Village.

At Fårup School and Children's Village we are looking for a dedicated and relationship-driven pedagogue for a permanent position with start on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. Working hours are flexible; please note your preference in the application.

We are not just looking for a pedagogue. We are looking for a person who is passionate about children's well-being, development and learning, and who wants to become part of a strong community where school and leisure time are considered together for the benefit of the children.

Perhaps you are newly qualified. Perhaps you have several years of experience. One thing we promise you: You will not stand alone.

If you are about to complete your pedagogy education in the beginning of 2027, we would also love to hear from you. We are happy to wait for the right candidate.

Why choose Fårup School and Children’s Village?

Fårup School and Children’s Village is a children’s village where school, after-school care (SFO) and day care are all on one site. This provides a unique opportunity to create coherence in the children’s everyday life and development and to collaborate across disciplines.

We are a smaller workplace with short decision paths, close collaboration and a culture where we help one another. Here we know each other, and there is not a long way from idea to action.

With us you become part of a workplace where our values

  • Learning
  • Engagement
  • Respect
  • Everyone contributes

are not just on paper, but something we work from every single day.

Your daily life

In the 2026/27 school year you will be attached to the kindergarten class as a school pedagogue and at the same time a key part of our SFO.

You will become a central adult around the youngest schoolchildren and take on an important role in creating safe communities, strong relationships and opportunities for participation for all children.

At the same time you will be part of our work with inclusion. We work purposefully to create learning and participation environments where all children feel they belong, succeed and develop. We do this through close collaboration between teachers, pedagogues, parents and leadership.

With us your week can include

  • Play, presence and communities in the SFO. We are looking for someone who is curious about the leisure-time pedagogical field and sees opportunities to bridge school and leisure time.
  • Pedagogical tasks in the kindergarten class together with our kindergarten class leader.
  • Support for children's well-being and participation in both school and leisure time in our inclusion effort. The inclusion effort offers many different tasks and is adjustable over a school year.
  • Collaboration with colleagues around inclusive learning environments.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration across the children's village.

Not because you have to be able to do everything all the time, but because we believe that children get the best opportunities when we bring different competencies into play around them.

If you have an interest in music, there is an opportunity to teach music in the early years. It is by no means a requirement, but we would like to hear about your experiences or desires in the area. The music instruction should take its starting point in play, song, movement, rhythms and community, so that all children can experience the joy of music.

But perhaps it is not music you are passionate about. Perhaps nature, movement, creative activities, outdoor life, relational work, communities or something else entirely. The most important thing for us is that you want to bring your strengths and interests into play for the benefit of the children.

With us you get the freedom to put your own mark on everyday life and become part of an engaged colleague community with a leadership close by, regular team meetings and good opportunities for professional sparring.

You will thrive with us if you

  • are an educated pedagogue or will graduate in early 2027.
  • believe that all children should be part of meaningful communities.
  • meet children with presence, recognition and clarity.
  • enjoy a varied daily life and collaboration across disciplines.
  • see opportunities and want to contribute to inclusive learning environments.
  • want to develop professionally together with your colleagues.

If you have special interests or competencies that can help create exciting communities for the children, tell us about them. We are curious about what you are passionate about and how your strengths can contribute to life in our children’s village.

What you get with us

  • A good introduction and colleagues who help you get started, as well as leadership that is close to everyday life and prioritizes sparring.
  • Possibility to develop across school, SFO and the rest of the children’s village.
  • Time for collaboration, reflection and professional development, including our weekly Monday meetings, team meetings, one pedagogical weekend per year and much more.
  • Preparation time for both school and SFO tasks, as well as your own preparation space.
  • Focus on the balance between work life and family/leisure life. We adjust the meeting schedule as much as possible to your needs and are happy to listen to inputs.
  • An workplace with humor, job satisfaction and plenty of room. We organize several social events throughout the year, including magical Mondays, Christmas lunch and summer party, which you can join if you wish.

What we would like to hear about

Tell us a little about

  • Your view of children and how it expresses itself in practice.
  • What motivates you in working with children.
  • Which experiences and competencies you bring with you.
  • What you are passionate about and how you would like to contribute to the community here.

We would like your application to reflect not just a string of adjectives, but more about who you are as a person and what kind of pedagogue you want to be here with us.

Practical

The position is a permanent post with a start on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter .

Salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement, and we will obtain child and criminal record checks.

Do you have questions?

You are very welcome to contact the pedagogical leader Lea Nyvang at phone 23 30 94 93 .

We look forward to hearing from you.

Application deadline is November 22. We expect to hold interviews on Wednesday, November 25 afternoon/evening.
