At Ejby School we are looking for a visionary, present and unifying school leader who can further develop a well-functioning school with strong values, high professional standards and an engaged local community.

As school principal you will be the unifying force for the school’s leadership team, staff, students, parents and the board. You must strengthen the school’s continued development while safeguarding the values and culture that make Ejby School a special place to be a child and a staff member.

About the school

Ejby School is a stable and well-run two-track public school with about 370 pupils in 0th–9th grade. The school is located in a scenic setting in the northern part of Køge Municipality. The school is an important part of the local community and is the natural and attractive school choice for families in the area.

The school operates from an appreciative view of children and has over several years developed a practice focused on inclusive learning communities, co-teaching and neuro-pedagogical approaches. We believe that all children have the right to succeed academically, socially and personally through participation in strong communities and work intensively with a general approach that can do more for more.

Together with the leadership team and the school’s skilled teachers and pedagogues you must ensure that Ejby School continues to be characterized by high academic quality, well-being, strong communities and a culture where both children and adults develop.

An effective MED committee and school board provide the formal framework to ensure ownership and a good working environment for all.

You must also contribute to ensuring that the school stands strong in the local area and is perceived as an attractive choice for current and future families.

An inclusive setting that can do more for more is a mandatory focus area, so it is important that you can see yourself working to help more students succeed in the general education sector.

Organization

Ejby School has recently been organized into two departments for 0th–4th and 5th–9th grades, has class teams and a resource team consisting of the management, including an inclusion advisor, psychological-pedagogical counselor (PPR) and preventive advisor. There is strong collaboration between teachers and pedagogues, and the pedagogues participate in teaching up to 3rd grade. The management consists of the school principal, deputy principal and the SFO (after-school) leader.
