Job Description

Can you lead complex project lifecycles, create momentum across disciplines and build strong, long-term customer relationships? Do you have solid experience in the water and wastewater sector – and are you motivated by projects where your leadership makes a real difference? Then you may be our new senior project manager.

We are entering a new and exciting phase. With the collaboration with Envidan, we are stepping into the market with renewed strength and an even broader range of competencies to benefit our customers. It gives you a unique opportunity to become part of Denmark’s largest advisory environment within water.

Your new role

You will become part of our Copenhagen department, Utility & Climate Adaptation , where we work with planning, design and execution of projects within water and wastewater infrastructure as well as climate adaptation for utilities and municipalities, among others. Our project managers help deliver some of the most notable water projects in Denmark. Separation of the Mørkhøj and Kagsåparken rainwater projects are examples of projects where we have brought our cross-disciplinary competencies into play and delivered services across the entire project lifecycle.

With the merger with Envidan we gain even greater capabilities to play with – both technically and in the market. We are bringing together some of the strongest water competencies in Denmark and the rest of the Nordics. That makes it a particularly exciting time to become part of the team, where we have both the capacity, ambitions and expertise to deliver even more significant projects for customers, society and the environment.

As a senior project manager you will be responsible for driving complex projects from idea to delivery while you develop and maintain strong customer relationships so the collaboration becomes long-term, trustful and value-creating. You will work with projects within water, rainfall water, wastewater and climate adaptation, where your decisions and leadership contribute to solutions with tangible significance for both the environment and the local communities touched by the projects.

Your primary areas of responsibility will be

  • Lead large climate adaptation, sewerage and pipeline projects with high technical, contractual and organizational complexity.
  • Facilitate strong project processes through all phases with a focus on quality, time, economics and clear momentum.
  • Collaborate closely with the department’s other project managers and bring Ramboll’s broad competencies into play across business areas.
  • Actively contribute to the development and anchoring of best practices in project management.
  • Actively participate in sales and market-related activities, including tendering and the development and retention of customer relationships.

About you

We believe you are an experienced project manager with solid technical depth, strong business understanding and the ability to build trust – both with customers and internally. We imagine you have experience and competencies that match the following:

  • Min. 10 years of proven experience leading complex projects within water and climate adaptation
  • In-depth knowledge of the water, sewerage and construction sector and its challenges
  • Strong business acumen with focus on economics, quality and customer value
  • Delivers results through situational leadership and clear coordination of teams
  • Communicates effortlessly in Danish and English – both internally and externally.

What we can offer you

  • Investment in your development
  • Leaders you can count on, guided by our leadership principles
  • Great inspiration from colleagues, customers and projects
  • Become part of a foundation-owned company, ensuring long-term and independent development
  • A flexible work environment with the possibility to work from home some days a week
  • Pension scheme via PFA including paid health insurance
  • Technical excursions and social events
  • 24 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave for both fathers and mothers and LGBTQ+ families
  • Projects that are not only professionally stimulating but where you also contribute to making a real difference.
