Service-minded and practically oriented janitor

At Actona Group A/S we are looking for an engaged and independent janitor/caretaker who has a hands-on approach, thrives with a diverse daily routine and takes pride in keeping our properties in good condition.

You will become an important part of our logistics department and will play a central role in the daily operation, maintenance and security of our buildings and outdoor areas. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility, finds solutions and follows tasks through to completion.

Your tasks

As a caretaker you will have broad contact and a varied day with both practical and coordinating tasks.

Your primary tasks will be to

• Carry out ongoing inspections of buildings, outdoor areas and technical installations.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, for example plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting.
• Take care of green areas, lawn mowing and other maintenance of outdoor areas.
• Monitor and maintain technical systems, including ventilation and HVAC.
• Ensure that common areas and properties are clean, neat and well-maintained.
• Handle access and security tasks, including opening and locking of buildings as well as handling alarms and emergencies.
• Coordinate and supervise external craftsmen and suppliers and follow up on the quality of their work.
• Keep track of maintenance plans, documentation, tools and materials.
• Handle urgent maintenance tasks and participate in an on-call roster when needed.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a practical background and experience with property service, building maintenance or similar. The most important thing is that you are solution-oriented, responsible and able to work independently.

• Have experience with property service, janitor work or practical maintenance.
• Have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, ventilation and common repair tasks.
• Are good at troubleshooting and finding practical solutions.
• Work in a structured manner and have a sense of order and quality.
• Are service-minded and communicate well with colleagues, management and external partners.
• Can plan your own workday and take initiative when you see something that needs fixing.
• Have a valid driver's license.

What can you expect?

At ACTONA Group A/S you will get a varied and independent role where you have the opportunity to influence the daily operation and maintenance of our properties.

You will become part of the logistics department and report to our Warehouse Manager. You will have a daily life with great variation, practical challenges and collaboration with both internal colleagues and external suppliers.

The position involves both physical work, including lifting, climbing and extended periods of standing, as well as outdoor work. There may also be weekend work and on-call shifts in connection with urgent situations.
