About the job

Would you like to help prevent sickness absence and strengthen attachment to the labor market in Favrskov?

Are you motivated by helping people maintain their connection to the labor market? Do you want to work preventively and help develop a new initiative from the ground up?

In Favrskov Municipality we strengthen the preventive efforts against sickness absence. The goal is for fewer citizens to develop long-term sickness absence, and for more to maintain their attachment to the labor market.

The Favrskov Job Center is therefore establishing a new prevention team that will offer guidance, sparring, and individual pathways to employees and employers at private and public workplaces. The prevention team, named 'Team Favrskov Prevents', focuses on well-being, retention, and prevention of sickness absence.

The team is being created as a result of the employment reform which came into force on July 1, 2026. The reform means, among other things, that employers have taken on greater responsibility for handling sickness absence. With the prevention team, Favrskov Municipality wishes to support employees and employers with early help, sparring, and concrete solutions before challenges develop into long-term sickness absence. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to help shape the effort from the start.

The team will comprise a total of four employees. In addition to you and another new colleague, Favrskov Job Center’s current retention consultant and company coordinator will also be part of the team. In daily operations, the team will sit together, providing good opportunities for sparring, knowledge sharing, and close professional collaboration.

Apart from the preventive effort, the team will also handle the existing retention effort for sick-listed citizens residing in Favrskov Municipality. A part of the existing case load and the associated authorities tasks will be anchored with one of the upcoming employees. Experience with authorities work and knowledge of the sickness benefit area and the employment sector in general will therefore be an advantage.

The tasks in the team call for different professional competencies. Therefore we are looking for two dedicated colleagues with their respective professional profiles:

  • A health professional consultant (e.g., physiotherapist or occupational therapist)
  • A consultant with experience in stress coaching, well-being and/or mental health

A common requirement for both positions is the desire to make a difference for people who experience physical or mental strain that affects their working life. Tasks

In the startup phase you will be an important part of establishing and developing the effort. Since the initiative is new, the first period will have a strong focus on creating awareness of it among companies and other relevant partners.

A substantial part of the working time will therefore consist of proactive contact with companies, with the aim of informing about and making visible the Prevention Team's offers and possibilities. You must therefore be comfortable making telephone contact with companies and be motivated by building relationships.

In addition, you will help develop workflows, methods, and collaboration interfaces so that the effort has a solid foundation and becomes a natural entry point for workplaces in Favrskov Municipality that wish support for prevention and retention.

When the initiative is established, your primary tasks will include

  • Conduct individual conversations and programs with citizens who experience physical or psychological challenges in working life
  • Support citizens in maintaining their attachment to the labor market and preventing longer-term sickness absence
  • Identify resources, barriers, and actionable options with the individual citizen
  • Advise and spar with employers on well-being, prevention, retention, and relevant support schemes such as a § 56 agreement, personal assistance, etc.
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and ongoing adjustment of the initiative
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration with relevant internal and external actors

We envision the following profiles

Health professional

  • Is educated as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist or has another relevant health professional profile
  • Has experience with rehabilitation, prevention, work environment, and/or return to work
  • Has an understanding of the link between physical health, functioning, and working life

Stress coach/well-being

  • Has experience with stress coaching, mental well-being, and/or psychosocial issues
  • Has relevant education or further training in the area
  • Has experience with conversations, guidance, or coaching of people in challenging situations

Common for both profiles

  • You are motivated to help build something new
  • You work independently, take initiative, and thrive with responsibility
  • You thrive in a role with many contact surfaces and cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • You are good at building relationships and trust
  • You enjoy working with well-being, retention, and prevention within the framework of the municipal employment initiative
  • Experience with prevention of sickness absence, the working environment, or retention in the labor market is a plus – including experience with advising and authority-related tasks

Knowledge of the sickness benefit area and the employment initiative in general is clearly advantageous.

The positions therefore include both a company-oriented and preventive function as well as a smaller share of authority-related tasks in the sickness benefit area. It is important that you are motivated to work within the framework of the municipal employment effort and can see the value in supporting citizens’ attachment to the labor market. We offer

You will become part of a new and ambitious effort with a great opportunity to influence both content, methods, and collaborations.

You will get

  • The opportunity to help build a new initiative from the ground up
  • Significant influence on the development of workflows and methods
  • A everyday life with a high degree of independence and responsibility
  • Opportunity to apply your professional skills in close collaboration with citizens, workplaces, and colleagues
  • A strong professional community with a focus on sparring and development

In addition we offer

  • A workplace characterized by an informal tone
  • An orientation program tailored to you
  • Open-plan office with the possibility of quiet zones
  • Catering and fruit scheme
  • Flexitime
