About the job

Are you sharp at making rosters add up – with an eye for collective agreements, working-time rules and both the operation's and employees' needs?

The Children and Adolescent Psychiatry Center (BUC) is seeking a roster planner who can strengthen and coordinate shift planning in the medical area within our two departments, Outpatient and Inpatient.

You will play a central role in ensuring smooth work scheduling, where physician resources are used as effectively as possible, and where there is a balance between operational needs, finances, education and staff wishes.

You will become part of the Administration in Glostrup and the Team for Shift Planning and Staff, where you will receive professional sparring from the team leader and colleagues. You will have a close collaborative interface with the center's chief physicians and department heads.

Your tasks

You will be responsible for the ongoing shift planning in the medical area and shall, among other things:

  • Develop and maintain rosters and handle changes, exchanges, illnesses and vacation coverage.
  • Ensure that the rosters comply with applicable collective agreements, working-time rules and local agreements.
  • Coordinate staffing and doctor resources in close dialogue with chief physicians and department heads.
  • Have an overview of resource consumption and support keeping staffing within the budget.
  • Ensure relevant leadership and staff involvement in the work scheduling.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient and consistent workflows.

BUC has units in both Glostrup and Bispebjerg. Your primary workplace will be Glostrup, but you should expect to travel to both sites.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with solid experience in complex shift planning – preferably in the medical area in the public sector.

We place emphasis on you

  • Having knowledge of doctors' collective agreements and working-time rules and being able to translate them into practice.
  • Working in a structured way, with an eye for detail and the ability to maintain an overview in a complex task.
  • Being good at collaboration, communication and building relationships across the organisation.
  • Being able to work independently and take responsibility for progress, but also seeking sparring and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Having a sense of both operational considerations and staff needs.

Knowledge of Optima is a plus. Your educational background is less important than your experience and your competencies in shift planning.

What can we offer?

You will have a meaningful and varied job in Denmark's largest center for child and adolescent psychiatry, where you help create good conditions for both staff and clinical operations.

You will become part of an engaged administration with about 20 colleagues and a shift planning team, where sparring, knowledge sharing and development of workflows are a natural part of everyday life.

You will also be part of structured focus meetings for shift planners at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital, where the focus is on practice-oriented teaching, sparring and knowledge sharing about the rules, frameworks and regulatory factors that affect shift planning.

You will have great influence on the planning and development of the shift planning task and the opportunity to shape how we solve it in the best possible way.

Salary and employment conditions

The position is a permanent role of 37 hours per week with start on 1 January 2027, or by agreement.

You will be employed under the collective agreement for Administration and IT staff, etc. - 32.01.1

Want to know more?

You are welcome to contact the head of the Team for Shift Planning and Personnel, Sarah Jørgensen, at tel. 38 64 07 22 or email [email protected] .

Apply for the position

Please submit your application, CV and educational certificate via the link on this page, no later than 18 November 2026 .

We expect to hold interviews on an ongoing basis.
