Create joy around meals and quality of life as a nutrition assistant at Plejehjem Søbo

We are looking for a colleague who can start no later than January 1, 2027.

As a nutrition assistant at Plejehjem Søbo you will be responsible for planning hot meals and preparing smørrebrød for the evening meal. You understand the target group’s wishes and needs and can create tasty, nutritious meals where the residents' self-determination and involvement are in focus.

At Søbo we cherish the good, traditional meals. Potatoes and gravy still have a special place on the menu, but we are also open to new ideas and inspiration.

The kitchen is located in open connection with the common living areas, which gives you a visible and important role in daily life. You will meet residents who want to participate in cooking, wish for a cozy chat or are curious about today’s menu. In addition you will meet relatives who are interested in the meals and the residents' food experiences. Therefore it is important that you enjoy contact with people and contribute to a present and welcoming atmosphere.

Who are you?

• It is important that you are a trained nutrition assistant.
• You have the opportunity to work 37 hours per week or by agreement.
• We prefer that you have experience from a similar position, but it is not a requirement.
• You have good teamwork skills but can also work independently.

What tasks will you have?

• Development of meal plans
• Preparation of smørrebrød
• Conducting self-monitoring
• Ordering goods
• Preparation of today’s hot dish
• Baking cakes and bread as needed

About us

Plejehjem Søbo is located in scenic surroundings in Bogense, close to the coast. We currently have 18 residents and look forward to expanding with another 12 places after the summer.

The nursing home is spread over several floors with kitchen facilities on each floor. Therefore you will be a visible part of daily life around the house and must be comfortable moving between the kitchens. In this way you help create life, presence and not least the familiar aromas of cooking, which contribute to homeliness and good dining experiences for the residents.

With us meals are more than just food. They are an important part of the community, everyday life, and quality of life for those who live at Søbo.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The expected salary range will be indicated at the first interview. The final salary is determined based on your qualifications and previous work experience and after specific negotiation with the trade union.
