Social and Health Care Assistants for permanent positions in evening shifts on an exciting new unit

Are you trained as a Social and Health Helper and are you up for helping to start a brand-new nursing home with respite beds from the ground up in Rødovre Municipality? Then it might be you we are looking for.

About the new nursing home

We will together create a home and a workplace where it is good to live and work. The new nursing home will be more than a traditional care home offer. At the address, in addition to 15 care home places, 14 respite places will be established for residents who need a temporary 24-hour stay, relief or support for a limited period.

The places are intended to support residents with dementia and their relatives and contribute to maintaining as much independence as possible through a care and nursing effort with a rehabilitative approach.

Initially, with start on 15.12.26 and 1.1.2027 respectively, we will hire for a department with space for temporary residence, where residents can come to relieve relatives or because the resident for one reason or another cannot stay at home temporarily. In January, we expect to recruit for the second department.

The initial period

You, together with management and your colleagues, will help develop and support the professional direction and at the same time create the culture that will carry the house for many years to come. The culture should reflect high professionalism, a high degree of care and comfort and coziness and activity. We solve tasks together with and around the residents, for example by eating together at meals. This applies whether residents are here as full-time residents or residents in temporary stay for respite or assessment.

Your primary tasks

As an evening shift, you and your colleagues will together support residents' physical and cognitive abilities, you will contribute to good meals and social gatherings around the table and support a secure and calm end to the day. Just as you will naturally perform nursing tasks and be an important part of the collaboration with relatives.

• Is trained as a Social and Health Helper
• Has an interest in dementia, rehabilitation and preferably experience in elderly care
• Thrives in close collaboration and wants to contribute with your professional expertise
• Is engaged, flexible and responsible

Shifts

We are looking for evening shifts in all combinations, so you will work a 5-2 pattern with shifts either every Monday and Tuesday or every Wednesday and Thursday plus a long weekend in either even or odd weeks.
