Social and Health Care Helpers for permanent night shifts at an exciting new unit

Are you educated as a Social and Health Care Helper and do you have the ambition to help start a completely new care home with respite places from the ground up in Rødovre Municipality, then it might be you we are looking for.

About the new care home

We will together develop a home and a workplace where it is good to live and work. The new care home will be more than a traditional nursing home offer. At the address, in addition to 15 nursing home places, 14 respite places will be established for citizens who need temporary overnight accommodation, relief or support for a limited period. The places will among other things support citizens with dementia and their relatives and contribute to citizens maintaining as much independence as possible through a care and nursing effort with a rehabilitative approach.

In the first instance, with start respectively 15.12.26 and 1.1.2027, we will hire for a department with space for temporary stay, where citizens can come to relieve relatives or because the citizen for one reason or another temporarily cannot stay at home.

We expect to recruit for the nursing home department in January.

The first period

You will, together with management, help develop and support the professional direction and at the same time create the culture that will carry the house for many years to come. The culture should be characterized by high professional standards and a high level of care. We solve the tasks together with and around the residents. This applies whether they are here as residents or citizens in temporary stay for respite or assessment.

Your primary tasks

As a night shift you and your colleagues will together support the citizens' physical and cognitive abilities from a rehabilitative and/or person-centered approach. You will occasionally be an important part of the collaboration with relatives. At night you are the house's calm but attentive link, where you among other things:

• Ensure safe and calm nights for the residents and follow up on changes in their condition
• Take care of necessary personal care and prevent complications with dignity and care
• Observe and record so that day and evening shifts have a solid professional basis to work from
• Be ready for acute situations and handle them calmly and professionally in collaboration with your colleague, the district nursing team and the on-call doctor
• Contribute to a good handover, so the citizen's day aligns across shifts
• Carry out lighter practical tasks to support your colleagues on day and evening shift

• Are educated as a social and health care helper
• Have an interest in dementia, rehabilitation and preferably experience from the elderly sector
• Thrive in close collaboration and feel like contributing with your professional skills
• Are engaged, flexible and responsible
• Work independently and thrive with the responsibility, the night hours bring

Shifts

You will work night shifts according to a fixed duty roster with 7 working days followed by 7 days off.
